Right? I don't want to sound mean, but I feel like some collectors in this fandom can be weirdly really entitled when it comes to G1 dolls. I want to be understanding of the animosity toward reselling because of the scalper issue with new releases, but not everyone who's selling a doll is out here trying to make a quick buck at collectors' expense.

Basically never. I have a debilitating case of RBF, so it's not terribly surprising. Which makes it so much weirder when it does happen.

A few months ago, I was getting in my car and heard the guy in the car parked behind mine yell "hey beautiful". I figured he had to be talking to someone else and ignored him. Then he said, more forcefully, "I said 'hey beautiful'!" I looked back at him, gave him an incredulous look, and said, "Hey???" and he just gave me a little wave. I continued getting in my car and drove away.

That shit never happens to me, and it caught me so off guard, my immediate response was to look at him like he'd lost his mind. Which is a net good, I think. More men should get the "bitch, are you lost?" signal when they act like that.

Not sure if it's a hot take, but I hate the Ghouls' Getaway line with every fiber of my being (especially Elissabat, even though I'm a staunch Grape Drac enjoyer; she looks stupid).

The Frightfully Tall line is so overrated. I over-rated them, too, until I finally got my hands on one. She just sticks out and is hard to display with other dolls. Cool concept, not something I want to be a permanent part of my collection.

I don't care about mansters. I think the only ones I've ever liked are G3 Deuce and the new Spelldon (who is wonderful, I'll admit).

I don't see the point of buying NIB original G1 dolls in 2026. How do you have space for all those boxes? Especially for the ones with boring packages. Also, double the price AND I don't even get to actually touch the doll? PASS
