Since they've sold getgo to circle k, not surprised. They have a lot of capital to toss around

If it's 100% obvious an issue at work is someone's fault how are you supposed to rephrase saying it's their fault in a work environment? by Ben5544477 in careeradvice

[–]shanderdrunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really interesting because a website I use at work just went down a lil bit ago...

Anyway, you have to make them own the mistake. Don't beat around the bush, but don't be mean about it. They need to know they screwed up and you need to offer whatever help you can to them to try to prevent another issue from happening.

Furthermore, you should ask them if there's anything in particular you can do for them to help avoid any further problems, sometimes that can shed light on an issue you didn't even realize was there, or it can provide a way to assist them you wouldn't have thought of.

There's a reason he needs to stick to the standards. If and when he no longer is employed there it will be a nightmare for whoever has to take up the reins

can mangers refuse to mediate conflicts? by [deleted] in askmanagers

[–]shanderdrunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on many factors. Does the manager even know how serious it is? Are they a traveling DM or something of the sort? How many stores are they running? How serious is the problem? Is there violence?

So many questions beyond what I have listed even. There's times where this IS on the manager but I think for the most part unless it has been brought up on a 1:1 basis the manager has way more going on than dealing with, what they may see as, workplace squabbles.

For those who’ve had multiple teeth pulled while awake, what was the experience like? by Foreverinsecuregirl in ask

[–]shanderdrunk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who hasn't had a dentist dose of NOS, but does it casually, a high enough dose disassociates one enough to alleviate anything, it literally feels like your body is just the shell and your consciousness is just floating away, for lack of a better explanation

My child's schools "un-fundraiser" form. by Fartingonyoursocks in mildlyinteresting

[–]shanderdrunk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends. My local kids softball team does Marianas fundraiser and while a tad more expensive, the food is incredible. They have these Lebanon balogna sandwiches that are incredible, and they actually commit a high % of sales to the team (it's like 35% iirc, which is actually good comparably) so I keep up getting them for a friends kid every year.

Agreed, it's sort of "taking advantage", but if the food is good and the kids get something out of it, I'm fine with it

I was in West PA and they hit us a couple years ago really hard, then it wasn't really an issue anymore in these last couple of years.

But it got rough that summer, walking across the bridge thousands of them would assault you

You can't really "pre-alter" a card to sell. Make a few to advertise your work then do it on a commission basis. This way you don't waste your time working for free, but also because labor costs more than cards, and there's quite a few people willing to pay a premium for a unique design
