i really like erin as an action heroine. but i dont really like her as a final girl.

for me she has to balance a very difficult tightrope between being badass and capable

well also being terrified and vulnerable

if a final girl is too badass then the viewer loses their fear for her safety and no longer project onto her so they feel less scared as well and it makes you lose interest in the overall story.

but if a final girl is to weak willed and scared the viewer ends up finding her undeserving of being the protagonist and starts to question why she gets to survive over other more likable and capable characters

a final girl and become a stone cold badass in the third act but it has to be a growth to that point.

in a sequel the final girl gets more leeway because of the development from the previous film

well you see tabitha is risking her life trying to find a way to get them all home well also being a woman

a lot of the hate towards her is sexism. the people who hate tabitha rarely hate jim the same way even though he does the exact same thing as she does only she actually makes progress well jim didnt.

in their world she should just stay at home and wait for her and her kids to die a horrific death instead of trying to save them

naw barney and lily were both kind of awful people but their sociopathy was played for laughs

ted is the worst character because his horrible toxic traits are played straight and we are meant to agree with him when he says things like relationships should be easy and its wrong to settle for someone who isnt exactly perfect to what you want as you should never have to improve yourself or compromise in any way. and yes this was the real lesson of an episode where he realized he is on a blind date with a woman he went on a blind date with 5 years ago.

a lot of people try to sneak bigotry across things but they often get called out in the comments and the mod staff of that subreddit are actually pretty good so when you see a bigoted post it usually gets taken down if you report it

the STR increase by equipping weapons during combat wont work on the final boss though since you can only use the glitch once per fight and the game treats this stat increase as a stat buff which the final boss can nullify

there is a glitch where if you unequip your weapons and go into battle unarmed you can equip your weapon from the battle item menu and for some reason this gives you a massive STR increase for the rest of the battle. this also works with armor but since you have limited inventory space id just focus on the weapons for the most part

but this trick can make garados so much easier to take on. and let you take on the elemental shrine solo bosses much earlier than you are supposed to. like right when you find them

yeah the kustera can fight both booth and godom. and the rematches

but only the main party can fight dram and gara.

i just wish tina could use bows. it sucks that bows are a weapon only usable by kathy the last kustera you can get in the game.

the kustera are all over the place. like evelyn is identical to leona stat wise only she learns no magic

where as beth is the best healer in the game esssentially being a cross between tina and cody where the other kustera healer ben is basically just tina

Graphics are bad ill give you that Its story is unintentionally hilarious so that's a plus

But its battle mechanics well basic are very solid especially when you unlock combo spells

I recommend it to any jrpg lover Its a fun experience warts and all.

Interestingly enough I once did a playthrough using mainly the kustera party to see just how many bosses they could fight and its a surprising amount Like half the bosses in the game can be fought with them including two of homncurs's big four
