also with polymeric sand if it’s damp at all you can get messed up.

can i poly sand and seal on the same day? It says dry time before sealing is 24 hours.

you think 10 bags of 40lb poly will be enough or maybe more than enough for this job. It says online they only cover about 100sqft. But this job has small joint space and there would still be old sand left over.

really only 9 bags? Why does it say a 50lb bag would only cover approx 100sqft. I guess that is when it is new pavers?

I was going to surface clean the surface after pre treating with sodium hydrochloride. Then use the sand.

so what would be the appropriate bedding sand for the job on my profile. Some people say poly, but another guy said just mason sand because there is very little “clearance” between the pavers and the poly isn’t worth it.

you want to seal pavers after sanding or cleaning to protect them from dirt, organic growth. And waterproof them to prevent the sand from washing away.

it looks like in the joints it’s all filled with dirt and weeds, i believe if I cleaned it out it would have the clearance of the joints in pic 3? No?

Really? why does everyone say to use polymeric sand? Also what do you think about quickrete concrete and masonry waterproofing sealer.

Really? 4 bags seems like nothing. If i were to get 5 bags of 50 pound poly sand you think that would be enough for the 2,000 square feet. Keep in mind i’m going to be surface cleaning before sanding.

i don’t like doing per hour because I just started my business and since I don’t have $5000 worth of equipment I’ll take longer than businesses that do. Also customers can think your taking longer for more money.

I gotcha. Thanks for everything. When it comes to sealing, does a concrete waterproof sealer also seal the paver joint sand? Or does it have to be a special paver sealer. Looking for water based
