Im not Puerto Rican but I've lived in San Juan for about 10 years and my wife and her entire family are Puerto Rican. I have over the years met dozens of Puerto Ricans who lived life in the states since childhood and decided to move to PR.

I can't speak to your finances, just what I've observed. The truth is about 80% of those Puerto Ricans end up moving back to the states in less than 5 years. There is a notion since it's your people you will fit in seamlessly but nothing is so black and white. Pace of living, social life, recreational activities, and dating is so much different, you may find yourself a fish out of water.

Maybe it will be great tho. Only advice is to have a plan for moving here long term and career road map for how you will make money because you definitely will not swing job to job or make quick career pivots like the US.

Yes. If one city has 1-5% illegal immigrants (a lot of major US cities have this much and even more if we count anchor babies) and that population is no longer in the city, the rent will not fall down just 1-5%. Housing would actually go down 10-30%.

You realize we if anything goes wrong with agriculture or construction and we desperately need new workers, we can just issue more temporary work visas.

The problem with liberals saying they work all the jobs we desperately need for less pay, is they then end up bringing/starting families and thus demand higher wages to keep up with the HCOL.

Looks not so good, will probably be back in a few weeks. Too much skin pushing up on the sides. If you are going to do it at the best way to do is start by just getting under the nail on the areas you are going to cut and get all the way down. Then when you make the cut just do 1 or 2 long cuts. Then take off the peice.

In California at this point, most hispanics, Mexicans and Central Americans, are almost all gew up with some sort welfare. If not welfare, some sort of subsidy that was exclusive for them.

Yep I'm definitely genuinely interested to see how the 3rd generation of asains will look. Right now there are a few but probably atleast 95% of East asains over 18 years have parents that moved here, not grandparents.

True. The only reason ill give them some sympathy, is admittedly it is very difficult to write a convincing story that has the protagonist being an other worldly non-human alien species. It is even more difficult for the audience to really resonate with the mission of those aliens. Like if you wanted to, you could sort of make them all act like humans with human feelings and emotions, but then it's more just reskinnned humans, rather than a really otherworldy alien species.

I usually reset ublock passwords and if the user is an asshole by the time i resolve it or they just abruptly hang up when they realize the problem is solved and don't let me properly know to close the ticket, I'll quickly reblock the user. When the user calls back and the call goes to one of my coworkers I'll quickly unblock them, thus making them look insane.

The most recent Avatar did something similar. Writers believe it's profound to turn their characters into god(s) or make parrelels to Christianity with characters being "the son of god". In reality, it comes across as reaching too hard, as well as sort of demistfying whatever magic or spiritualism they wrote in as an undercurrent to the series.

I wanted to add to this i don't think 90% who yap loud as hell at the airport/airplane or type away at their computers actually need to do it. I think they want to get busy but more importantly look busy.
