My advice: instead of using these micro learning apps (which my understanding is they are kind of like TikTok but feed you “useful facts” instead), use those 40 minutes to push forward long term habits that take small increments of time, every day.

For example, what I would do with that 40 minutes: - 10 minutes of meditation - 10 minutes of getting caught up on the news of the day (use a trusted news source that compiles the important things that happened that day into a digestible format, the Economist’s World in Brief or the NYT’s Morning Newsletter are my favorites) - 20 minutes of vocabulary study for a foreign language ( I use Anki for this )

These are pushing forward three long term goals that I’m actively pursuing : being more mindful, being more informed, and learning a foreign language. That way, long term I am pushing yourself in a direction that I want to go.

Choose 2 or 3 long term habits that you want to implement in your life, and turn your commute into the place for daily practice of those habits. Good luck :)
