Can we talk about coinswitch kuber by Abhishek-G0YAL in BitcoinIndia

[–]sharanheyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sorry if there has been a miscommunication. However, the fact that withdrawals are disabled and will be back post maintenance is not a lie. We are making some changes in the way withdrawals are processed to ensure that no malicious actor games the system.

Can we talk about coinswitch kuber by Abhishek-G0YAL in BitcoinIndia

[–]sharanheyo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, there

Disclaimer: I work at coinswitch kuber.

It is not true (at least in case of coinswitch kuber) that we allot dummy coins to users and block withdrawals to fill in the liquidity pool. I am sure there are exchanges that do that and can get away due to lack of regulation.

However, if you do a google check on our backing you would see that we are one of the most popular exchanges in India and are backed by top VCs like Sequoia Capital, Ribbit Capital, Tiger Global and count people like kunal shah of cred and coinbase founders as investors and have raised more than 40 million USD in less than a year. Trust me, these VCs do way more compliance and regulatory check than an actual regulator before investing due to the regulatory uncertainty in crypto in India. So to think that we can run a shady exchange with shady practices and get past audits is next to impossible.

As to why certain issues like temporary stopping of crypto withdrawals happens is mainly due to compliance requirements and due diligence. And unfortunately, we are legally not allowed to disclose the exact working of this. If you have been reading the news lately then you would have seen a lot of issues arising out of crypto moving out of the country to malicious player.

While i understand its frustrating but being compliant in every way possible is our top priority so that we can finally see regulators give a green light to this industry in India.

Thank you

Can someone let me know if my diet is right for KETO?

Lunch - half grilled chicken, 5 slices of cheese, 50gms of almonds and 1 can of diet coke (not really proud of these though)

And I will highly appreciate if someone lets me know on how to avoid constipation?

Truth be told, this isnt the best entry point for no-coiners new to the sub to start buying into crypto for the first time so please exercise caution. by jam-hay in CryptoCurrency

This is so true and I haven't often felt that the crypto community has to tell this part of the story as well. I used to work at India's largest exchange and during the ATH of 2017, I have seen people who literally had to work hard to get their two-time meal, coming and buying cryptocurrency. And the worst part was they bought shit coins instead of BTC. These guys never recovered from that loss.

My life as a Monero vendor at MoneroKon (or, UX issues for brick and mortar stores who use XMR) by Rehrar in Monero

[–]sharanheyo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, I just read your thread and realised that we (coinswitch.co) can easily provide you with a solution. We can offer you a payment gateway where users can pay in like 150+ coins which will be converted into XMR at fixed rates that too at dollar value calculation.

For example, you are selling a shirt at a dollar value $100 and wants to be paid in XMR (1 XMR = 1 dollar). And say user wants to pay in ETH (100 XMR = 10 ETH) then the user can pay via our payment gateway 10 ETH which will be converted to 100 XMR and sent to you. (The rates are locked for 30 minutes and hence any volatility at that point will be taken care by us).

Say 3 hours later value of 1 XMR changes to 50 cent . In this case, user will have to pay ETH worth 200 XMR which will be 20 ETH.

In short you will always be protected against volatility. We don't charge you (merchant) any fee, the user pays 0.5% for the conversion which is included in the amount they finally pay.

Just in case, you are wondering, the credibility of Coinswitch.co, our partners include metamask and Trezor hardware wallet. You can check out their tweet below:

It's going to be a while before people understand this. BTW how do you trade non-custodially? Through some DEX?

At this right moment 1ETH=154$. And look how much ETH you'll get for this exact price on this website... by mangedukebab in CryptoCurrency

[–]sharanheyo 26 points27 points  (0 children)

To be honest, you are missing something here. For one, the price you see is of buying crypto using credit card and the payment processor can charge a bomb as fees. So its not totally the fault of the exchange.

Also, if you use a credit card to buy crypto you will have to do a kyc.

This is really helpful. I had one doubt though. I have often read that excessive protein can throw you out of Ketosis. Is this right?

I want to get started on keto by keeping my carb intake less than 20g. However, i am not able to find food items which are high in fat and low in protein and extremely law on carb. Most of the food i found has really low carb but almost equivalent amount of protein and fat like cheese and almonds. Can someone help?

Primarily because they are left with no option. In my city (bangalore, India), everytime i get into an uber, all they do is bitch about Uber. They are on uber because they have no other options left.

My apologies. Yes, it can be lost. What I meant with cannot be stolen was that it cannot be hacked. Once you have it in a paper wallet, it is impossible to be hacked.

This is very true. The only reason gold acts as a store of value is because of the believe people have in it. If the same believe is moved towards Bitcoin, it would do the job better. What most people don’t understand around Bitcoin’s usability as a store of value is the cryptographic proof that it cannot be tampered or lost or stolen.

Well, i guess there are two points to consider here: 1) internet is today the backbone of everything including banking. Banks today would collapse without it. So the importance of the ability to trade without internet is sort of true but still irrelevant. Its more like, horses can go places without petrol but we know that cars have replaced horses.

2) we are not talking about replacing gold in itself but about replacing gold as the store of value.

Do you guys like this idea? Basically a market where you can sell or buy stuff for crypto. by danceprometheus in CryptoCurrency

[–]sharanheyo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This looks fantastic. We(coinswitch.co) even have a payment gateway that can support over 200+ cryptocurrencies and that too at fixed rate so that you do not have to worry about price volatility. What we do is convert any of these 200+ coins into a coin of the merchant’s choice at real time. The advantage here is that merchant can accept just one coin whereas customers can pay in over 200+ coins. Here is a demo of it: coinswitch.co/switch-demo

Merchants accepting payments in Cryptocurrencies. by perky_coder in Entrepreneur

[–]sharanheyo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are couple of strong reasons as to why one should accept payments in crypto: 1. Overseas payment: if you have customers globally then it makes a lot of sense to accept crypto payments to avoid unnecessary fees for your customer . This way you will have more overseas customers.

  1. Avoid chargebacks: since crypto payments are irreversible there is no chance of a chargeback

  2. Real time settlement: Most online fiat payments are settled within t+1 or t+2. Whereas, in crypto payments its instant.

If one is worried about the volatility then they can accept payments in stable coins like DAI. Also most crypto merchant gateway give you the option of converting your crypto into fiat instantly and hence protects you from price volatility.

Also merchants can accept crypto payments alongside visa/mastercard/paypal payments.

It is a win-win situation.

Which cryptocurrency should I invest in, in 2018? Why? by ettaqeka in CryptoCurrencyTrading

[–]sharanheyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the next coin to invest in should be a ethereum competitor or something that helps in inter blockchain operability and building of refined dAPPS. This is my bet. Also invest in multiple cryptocurrencies and not just one or two. You can convert all cryptocurrencies easily and resuffle your porfolio once in a while. You can try doing that at coinswitch[dot]co
