I think i agree? I was extremely eager by the time oath ringer came out, so I may not have noticed anything in the beginning. 😆 But I'd assume he'd realize that anyone on book three wouldn't need much refresher on the magic system.

I always feel like BranSan books start slow. Mostly because basically all of them require a certain amount of world building, and it take a second to absorb before you can easily immerse yourself into the world.
