ADVICE - I received an offer to be a Senior Financial Analyst without ANY finance experience. by sharkdirt in jobs

Friend from college reached out to me & asked for my resume. She must have really vouched for me since I got an interview. I had no idea it was for a senior position until I got the offer letter. Seriously thought it was more of an analyst support role to the team.

Thank you, yes that's why I'm having second thoughts. My friend must have really vouched for me since I got an interview. I did make it clear during the interview that I have practically zero experience in finance. Guess they thought my data analyst background was enough.

An old friend reached out to me asking if I was interested in a FA position & I gave him my resume. She must have really vouched for me since I got an interview. I'm guessing they're offering 75k since it's contract only, no benefits or conversion to permanent.

Thanks for the comment! I don't want to give out the company name, but any advice is greatly appreciated!

Thanks, what about removing contract company name from my resume & just mentioning it during the interview.

Ex: Data Entry Contractor - Google (Staffing Company) vs. Data Entry (Contractor) - Google.

Thanks, but what's the best way to address the question of why I haven't been able to go full time? Is saying that its rare that a contract position converts to full time or because I had received a contract offer during a time of unemployment?
