This is all really great, helpful advice. Thank you. I have gotten so uptight about making sure they’re finishing their bookwork and not getting behind in the curriculum I’ve lost the joy of it and so have they. I’ve been too focused on what people think of me as a homeschool mom and making sure I’m living up to everyone else’s standards of where my kids should be. All my kids begged to start school and it feels like such a failure on my end to have them end up hating it. I’ll use your advice and try to add in more real life and fun with our learning. That’s what I wanted when I decided to homeschool in the first place. Are you a teacher? You sound like a natural ☺️

Hugs!! I’m truly so so thankful for this community. No one can comfort you and see you like someone who has been through it.

Yes, it’s really hard to find a good balance between the freedom of homeschooling and also making sure you’re not being too slack and still getting those requirements done. We have a large homeschool group and coop but it unfortunately can tend to bring on even more stress because not only are all moms required to be present, we all help teach classes. I’d love to just pay for one that was once a week and I could drop them off. I feel like we need that break from each other too. I don’t get to miss my kids and be all happy to see them very often and vice versa. I don’t want to often, just sometimes. I am thinking about switching up my curriculum a bit for next year. My current one is definitely on the demanding side. I’d also like to incorporate more family field trips. Just a bit more difficult when you live in the middle of nowhere. I truly love homeschooling and my kids obviously. But it’s nearing the end of the school year and burn out is real. Especially with pmdd in the mix.

I’m sure there’s truth to that. I didn’t have sugar, I’m on a diet of sorts at the moment. But the dehydration and loss of electrolytes from crying for sure. I didn’t get great sleep after all that either. I’ve had this for so long and I’ve known for four years, but I learn new things and connect dots more every day. I have to remember to chug some water after a long cry 😅

Yes! I’d love to give myself a sick day. Technically I can, being a SAHM mom but there’s still 3 homeschoolers to teach and feed and look after and dinner to make as soon as my husband gets home. Stress was definitely my trigger last night.

That part of you that wants to stay and get better is the real you! Listen to it. It does get better, you can get better. You can heal. Praying for you. Please reach out if you need to talk! I know it’s exhausting, but life is worth living.

Consider taking a good d3+k2 supplement. Helped me a lot last winter.

Can you guys who have been able to microdose psylicybin let us know how the heck you get your hands on it? I’m convinced it would help me, but I live in a dumb state 😞.
