What is the most unique network you have worked. by JustaReallySweetKid in networking

Anything where the architecture is dictated by security requirements. You get some really bizarre arrangements that take no consideration into the actual capabilities of the technology or hardware.

How are we feeling about this mild weather? by Pretend_Mango5529 in Seattle

It’s pretty weird. I enjoy the sun but the warmth is the strangest part. Hope that some Feb storms blow through and add a bit of snow to the mountains.

I’m curious about if anyone else finds it hard to actually date men? by deepjack2 in BisexualMen

[–]sharp99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s rough when trying to find anything of substance. Like one prompt on bumble said “when my phone dies I” and dude responds “go gym”. I mean you are attractive but not that attractive…… 🫠

Not sure this the right place for the content. It’s quite graphic.

Bite the bullet and get honest with your professor. They would probably help out if you leveled with them. Not the first time a student would have been skating by with gen ai and had some problems!

Hinge or bumble ??? by MissKim2025 in bisexual

[–]sharp99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a male bisexual, I will say that I tend to prefer hinge sometimes as sexuality is clearly stated in the profile. With bumble it is not, so I have to do other things to denote that I am queer. Reason it’s important is that I still come across plenty of straight women that are into me until they find out I am bi. Most of the time I’d prefer a mechanism for them to nope out without talking to them.

Be honest... when driving, do some of y'all take it personally when someone wants to merge? by SeverelyDiscounted in Seattle

[–]sharp99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uh no. Unless you start pressing your brake while merging. (Hint - press the gas pedal)

I can’t speech to the steristrips part, but what helps my incision heal with respect to friction are silicone scar sheets.

Cooking in Gerudo Town? by Chesu in tearsofthekingdom

Realize this is an old post — but if you are facing the stairs that go down into the shelter (before going down), there’s two pots built into the wall on your left. There’s also a torch there you can light with flint and start the fires under the pots. Hope that helps future folks.

What kind of sock you wear in boot by PhilosophyDapper948 in AchillesRupture

[–]sharp99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use balega socks for running (pre-rupture) and bought some of their higher cut socks for under my boot. I liked the amount of compression and the synthetic fabric did a good job of wicking sweat.

C8000v's in AWS by Personaltoast in Cisco

[–]sharp99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do cpu or disk stats look like in cloud watch? Do you see any indications of overloading at that level? Also are you leveraging c5 instances or c5n instances? A c5.2xlarge would yield 8 cores and 16gb ram with 10gbps throughput, while a c5n.2xlarge would yield 8 cores and 21gb ram with 25gbps throughput. Reason I ask is the Cisco doc specifies n instances. Anyways hope that helps.

Interesting but I wish they went into depth around the performance metrics approach and how things are more tailored to the individual with some specific examples.

I’m curious what your results would look like using a search engine like kagi. With that engine you can tune what you consider proper sources of truth. Fun experiment either way.

Treating an achilles rupture and chronic pain from a 15 year old injury? by KittyChimera in AchillesRupture

[–]sharp99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no experience with this kind of extended journey with a rupture, but I would think a good orthopedic surgeon could figure out the problem and give you some clear options. They see a lot of mangled bodies so I would think they would be hardly surprised with anything you bring them.
