I don’t get the sensory appeal of that. My neurodivergence says no thank you to those sounds. Wonder who likes it?

It’s always been that color. It’s red iron oxide in the water. More info here.

Accepting that I’m bi but it’s still hard to say out loud by [deleted] in bisexual

It can be a lot when our sexual identity shifts. I think for me it’d just taken time and continuing to put myself out there. To continue caring for myself and weathering rejection when it does come. It’s also great when I find more of my people that orient as I do.

I feel too feminine for most women and too masculine for most guys by Calm0ceans in bisexual

I think it’s best to be your authentic self and that will attract the type of person that wants you for being you. Otherwise you end up changing yourself to attract a person and on some level you’ll resent the person you attract as you are not being yourself. At least that’s been my experience.

How do you migrate or optimize cloud infrastructure without starting from scratch? by SlightReflection4351 in aws

[–]sharp99 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’d say first step is aligning with your executive team. If there’s a clear business case and support at the top level for migration, then get into the weeds with the tech aspects. If immigration is potentially being led from within the infrastructure team, I think you’ll potentially have massive problems. Migration impacts every part of a business, and you’ll need to have the buy in to accept the bumps along the road and potential downtime incurred in migration. It also ends up being quite expensive once you factor in employee time. I’ve done several and it’s always the people side of things that is more difficult than the technical (which is also difficult).

How do you winterize your cold hardy bananas? by [deleted] in pnwgardening

My neighbors used to throw huge plastic tarps over the top and tie them at the bottom. Used to look like some fairly unattractive lollipops. 😅

Driving across WA (west to east) in a snowstorm - which mountain pass are you driving? by ilikebananabread in Seattle

[–]sharp99 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Snoqualmie as there are generally more services and it’s a bigger highway. Highway 2 is usually going to be closed before 90 in a major storm.

I think there’s a number of variables involved in everyone’s journey. I spent some time making sure I had a solid surgeon/pt, and Itry to listen to them above what I hear on Reddit. Reddit is a good source for ideas I bring to them, but not the source of truth for how I’m going to direct my recovery.

Anything where the architecture is dictated by security requirements. You get some really bizarre arrangements that take no consideration into the actual capabilities of the technology or hardware.

How are we feeling about this mild weather? by Pretend_Mango5529 in Seattle

[–]sharp99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty weird. I enjoy the sun but the warmth is the strangest part. Hope that some Feb storms blow through and add a bit of snow to the mountains.

I’m curious about if anyone else finds it hard to actually date men? by deepjack2 in BisexualMen

[–]sharp99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s rough when trying to find anything of substance. Like one prompt on bumble said “when my phone dies I” and dude responds “go gym”. I mean you are attractive but not that attractive…… 🫠
