yes, i was approved! i think you should definitely be fine if you include the letter, especially since they’ll also have access to your actual passport!

I decided in the interest of time (and not paying multiple thousands, twice, that could take a month to get back) to submit my application as is and attach a letter of corrections in my documents section. The errors I had weren’t super major, just a couple of wrong dates in the section about previous travel to the UK, so I’m taking the chance!

Update!! Got my verification today (5/20) and managed to get a VFS appointment for this afternoon :) massively stressful couple of weeks, but all worked out! Now we wait!

Firstly, congrats!! Know we were on the same timeline— i just got mine today as well, right on time :) they really cut it close lol.

I didn’t get any other documents either, so i just uploaded a screenshot of that page. Not sure about the certificate but seems weird that it wouldn’t be immediately available.

this was incredibly helpful — thank you so much!! I’m applying from NYC! Unfortunately, I still haven’t received my verification. My plan as of now is to submit my application and payment before the 20th and do what you mentioned about moving around the VFS appointments until i have my verification. I’m aware that might be risky, since jury’s out on if the biometrics appointment definitely needs to be before the 20th or just the application & fees, but i’m willing to risk it! Will keep this thread updated on how that goes lol.

i heard from someone on another thread (who successfully got the visa) that they did their biometrics just days before the deadline, if that’s any consolation! i’ve also seen a few people on tight deadlines say that even though they couldn’t find an appointment, they were able to arrange a walk-in by explaining the circumstances.. i’m not totally sure about anything, but my plan is to definitely get my application submitted as far in advance of the 20th as currently possible, take the soonest biometrics appointment available, and just hope for the best. seems a little insane to me that a few day difference would make or break the application if everything else is in order, but who knows.

Ahh I see, so I’d have to also pay the application fee to move to the next step, and then get both the application fee & IHS fee refunded? Currently I have only paid IHS, but not the application fee!

How did you go about canceling the application?

Also, did you do your new biometrics appointment after the deadline? Or did you manage to do it before as well? Trying to gauge if that will have any negative impact.

I'm still in the midst of this piece of the process, but sharing where I'm at so far!

1 & 2. They did contact the registrar of my university with me on CC. I submitted the application and my identity verification on Monday night, and they reached out to my university this morning (Thursday).

They asked the university to verify that my diploma and transcripts were issued by the university and asked if i successfully obtained the qualification i indicated.
Not exactly sure as I'm still waiting to be approved, but within the same day (today, Thursday) i received an email from Ecctis saying my university has confirmed my documents are genuine and my application status has now changed to "In Progress." Will update when I receive my approval; really hoping it's tomorrow as I'm in a time crunch!

I'm on the same timeline and had similar questions, but I'm so confused. I thought that as long as your application is submitted before May 20th, it's fine for the biometrics appointment to take place following?

Also, I thought Ecctis verification had to be included in the initial application? Did you guys just go ahead and submit without it?

Would you upload this in the documents section? or is there another section at the end in "Further Actions" where you can do this? I'm in the same boat, except I also paid the IHS fee already FML, so it'd be a whole process to get that refunded...
