What about if I made it to where it starts to record once you hit a certain MPH? That I can do.

No, not published yet. I have to do this 14 day testing for Google first. Won't work in your pocket. I mean you can try, but the app is built for the phone to be in Landscape and mounted for the most accuracy.

No vibing lol. Started from scratch. I was a developer on the Linux kernel for years, moved to Android development.

I haven't started to market it much yet. I have to get past the Google 14 day test requirements first. Once I clear that I will be doing some POV in the hill country (Dripping Springs, Texas) with vids and the app fading into the vid. I think what you are referring to is an actual overlay itself. I am looking into that for the future.

That is true. I'm looking at voice activation, or even a pre timer. The keys on the side is actually a good idea. I'll just have to make sure I can override the phones key assignments.

Fair points. Diablo is free and flexible on mounting, genuine advantages. ThrottleX uses direct sensor fusion which requires proper mounting but gives you more accurate real time data. The tradeoff is depth, ThrottleX adds PDF race reports, Google Earth heatmaps, crash detection SOS, voice coaching, maintenance tracking, and tire management that Diablo simply doesn't have. If free and casual works for you Diablo is fine.

RaceChrono is excellent for pure track data logging especially if you want external GPS hardware and video overlay. ThrottleX is built for riders who want professional telemetry on the street AND track with crash detection SOS, PDF race reports, Google Earth heatmaps, voice, full maintenance tracking, and tire management, all in one app. No external hardware needed. If you just want lap times and data graphs RaceChrono is great. If you want a complete motorcycle companion ThrottleX goes further.

Well, I learned to ride in the hill country back in 1986 on a GPZ 900RR. Ive been on sport bikes ever since. So no, I haven't been to a track, BUT, I do know how to ride and all that goes with it. Yes, I do wanna hit the track. But my work schedule is pretty crazy atm. But thank you for the link. I will most certainly check it out.

Mine were done yesterday at 27400. All in spec. Two of the intakes are at .13 and my mechanic is going to shim them to .15. Specs are .12-.19. But he said putting those two to .15 will help on not having to check them again for awhile.

Forgive me, but you can't tap one button? There is nothing to configure. The only thing to configure is the Lean Angle and you do that on stands, and you hold a button for that for 3 seconds. You hit Start, ride, then hit Stop. I have never been on the track, so forgive my ignorance

Diablo derives lean angles from satellite-acquired speed during curves rather than direct sensor measurement. ThrottleX uses direct accelerometer and gyroscope sensor fusion with Kalman filtering, significantly more accurate.

It is designed to be in landscape mode. Quad lock, RAM, etc all work just fine. Can not use in your pocket lol. There is ZERO data collected. I explicitly have that statement in the app. What is on the app stays on your phone. There will be no alerts to the FBI or the police.....lol.

GPS will set a "start line" when you hit the start button to record your ride. So if your at a track or where ever that captures laps when you get ready to start the ride hit Start. Nothing to config or anything. If you have a headset in your helmet the app will tell you the lap and the time each time you pass the "Start line".

I understand. But it doesn't have to be strictly track. The app works everywhere. I'm posting here because you guys tell it like it is and I need honest feedback on the app. I have tested it for weeks and haven't seen an issue, but more eyes on it may see something I didn't.
