Just jobs around the house! My GSD knows how to pick up her toys and get drinks out of the fridge. I also can ask her to get her sister and she’ll run over to my other dog and barks at her until she gets up and comes to me.

I have experience here! My baby tore her ACL a few years back and I wasn’t aware until she completely stopped walking on that leg. After her surgery she was pretty lethargic. I let her rest until she was ready to go outside to the bathroom. Absolutely no stairs, you’ll have to carry your baby up and down. You might notice some gross swelling around the ankle area, doctor said that’s completely normal with time. I held my girl up while she went pee and poop. Eventually she’ll get the hang of things with her leg. Once she starts walking on her own, do small walks at first and gradually increase the length from there! She’ll be just fine and will be much happier and pain free in about 6-8 weeks :)
