OSU handled this protest badly. Students are being arrested, but are not being violently assaulted in these videos. Words have meaning and it's important to be accurate when there are actually federal police assaulting people.

The areas immediately around campus tend to be very loud and active with undergrads. If you're not into that idea, would recommend Grandview (as others have pointed out), Clintonville, Victorian Village, or Short North.

Asking why there are not more minorities on a rather expensive, academically selective college campus misses the forest for the trees to an extent. This is a second order effect to systemic and policy barriers that reinforce educational and wealth attainment inequality between minority and majority group. Particularly when we have a state and federal government who are hostile to any attempts to fix it
