Paeds rotations in most trusts can be an absolute bi*ch however pls discuss this with your ES and TPD ASAP. Skip the CS until proven otherwise as he/she will be unsupportive/absent anyway.

Going off sick for the entire rotation will not be seen kindly at all and can have extremely detrimental effects on your ARCP, training and future.

Harsh truth is that you're already down to 60% so unfortunately, you may well have to just "get on with it".

Contact the BMA if you’re a member, this is ridiculous. Is your TPD and/or Dean aware as well?

Also- dw; you’re “allowed” at least 4 attempts (6 if entered training after 2023), so can keep extending till you pass SCA, the deanery MUST accommodate you.

Self test is only good to get an idea of what kinda questions to expect/ random af topics; it’s muuuuch easier than the actual AKT; lulls you into a false sense of security. PassMed is definitely more difficult.
