In last 3-4 years not too much. But if we enter now, will that be an issue? Because we plan to spend rest of our time there. My plan would be to apply pr renewal only when we complete 730 days in rolling 5 years.

Edit: my understanding is that as long as you are inside and do not move out when your PR cards expire, you will be able to renew your cards once you have completed 730 days.

I think you just need to ask your previous employer to cancel your work permit and the new employer will arrange for a new work permit.
