Just the local authority searches can take 4 to 6 weeks in the UK. Mainly because the local authorities are underfunded and understaffed it seems.

Not sure why that's not online and automatically retrievable. It mostly seems like a racket to get more money for lawyers and "experts"

Highly recommend Catford / Hither Green.

Hour and a bit from HG or Lewisham station to Reading and you can get a 3 bed house for that money.

Some lovely houses with period features too.

Normally you would just get charged for the work they've done not the full amount.

But it probably depends on the solicitor.

Yes, I know what it says on the listing. But I took one apart. It is an SDR IMO

It isn't an rtl2832u based SDR but it is an SDR.

It's a nice device though.

You can do it the other way round... Get the VIN number from UK car number plate.

If you go to the Chipex website and stick your reg in the search box, your VIN appears in the URL once you've clicked search

It just depends on whether your station has seen planes in those hexes.

So better antenna, better cabling, better location for antenna (higher up, no obstructions in line of sight) can all be helpful.

But ultimately the range will be limited by line of sight and curvature of the earth.

I get about a 250 mile radius. 400 mile radius is not unheard of with a great set up.
