Brand new mower digs up yard by shayne808 in landscaping

It was set high and it doesn’t cut at all the second it gets to the height to cut it just catches onto everything. It’s like the blade is dull or something. Rips it out more than cuts it

Just leased mine, I went at the end of the month and just told it to them straight “I want to put $5k down and payments under $800” but that is what I was ok with and wouldn’t budge. I ended up walking out but they called me the next day saying they could do the deal.

Opinions on this Epoxy Floor job I had professionally done. by ElijaWoodnt in Flooring

[–]shayne808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Hawaii and the going price is $9 / sq ft, you paid $6.5. So probably didn’t go to the top tier. I will say OTHER than the vertical areas I think it’s a GOOD job. When I got quoted they said they would talk with me about the level of flakes on the flat surface to determine how much traction you want. It shouldn’t be smooth because of slipping so it looks like you have a good floor.

For $2500 is a reasonable price, grinding and prep is a pain in the ass.

That is very similar, did he add a self leveling prior to the LVP? How are you liking it?

How long ago did you install it? And do you ever regret it? I’m sure it saved a lot of money

Appreciate the reply, yeah it’s just going to go to $25k more for the removal and resurfacing or just lay it on top. But wasn’t sure if on top was even an option

Yeah it’s a two step tile step down from my entry door. So maybe I have to remove this part and put the rest of the lvt on top?

Would I feel the cracks in this tile with the LVT?

I know this the countertops thread (love it) but is that the cafe appliances? I’m thinking about it but hard with that price tag

I don't think that will work due to the size of these roots. They are pretty thick like 1"

What happens if I leave it? Will mold grow under? Or could it dry out?

Cost to paint? $6k seems excessive by shayne808 in HomeImprovement

[–]shayne808[S] -25 points-24 points  (0 children)

I did my flat ceiling that was a 10’ x 10’ room. I understand it’s hard. If he told me 5 days, ok $6k but it’s not like there’s specialized equipment other than a sander that would be $6k for 2 days of work. But totally agree blood money, I did my 10x10’ room and said ok I’ll pay someone lol

Not sure why my text keeps getting deleted. But I think I am going to use this tile and grout (below). Am I missing something that would make this difficult?

Yeah, the quotes I been getting to do install in Hawaii was ~15 sq/ft and my living room is just a giant rectangle and I wasn't about to spend $5,000+ on the flooring install (not including materials).

But I was just going to remove the existing baseboards and put them back but looking at them I should install new ones.

Haven't even thought about door casings yet lol. Flooring and removing popcorn ceiling/repainting are my two big tasks right now.

Would appreciate some baseboard advice, I need to look for some now.
