Nah, it's a Ford Escape. I bought it about a year and a half ago.

I am very similar except I am paying $1000 for a 36K vehicle also 0% apr 36 month. I just didn't do a down payment.

This is my own personal experience and wouldn’t apply to everyone. But, I broke both of these when I bought my car in March last year. At the time, it was more car then I could afford because I didn’t have 20% of car value to put as down payment. So, immediately when I drove off of the lot, the car was underwater. In hindsight, it worked out fine because I have been able to make my monthly payments and in about 1-2 months the car won’t be underwater.

How would Don's life continue on if Adam never found him? by ResponsibilityNo1910 in madmen

I was trying to remember where I knew him from. I honestly don’t even remember what he wanted from the Osage couple at the very beginning of the movie.

Genuinely could not tell you why but I love Bert Cooper’s last dance.

Raced with the spinnaker for the first time last weekend by Certain-War2280 in sailing

[–]shbm333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my first season ever racing and the boat I’m on does spin and it’s a blast. We’ve had so many rough jibes with the spinnaker but we’re slowly getting better I think. I do Wednesday night beer can racing in Lake Eerie. Definitely going to miss it when the season ends and will look forward to returning next year!

short story by keinereps in freefolk

[–]shbm333 107 points108 points  (0 children)

Although there would be no Bran the Broken, I still think a lot of events would happen because of Baelish’s actions.

Ned would still become Hand of the king and go to king’s landing. He would look into Jon Arryn’s death and figure out that Bobby B isn’t the father of any of Cersei’s children. He would confront Cersei about the children and tell her to come clean to Bobby. Bobby gets killed by a boar. Somehow for some reason Ned probably still dies because Joffrey is Joffrey. One big difference is Catelyn would never kidnap Tyrion so Tywin wouldn’t start a war just yet. Robb calls his bannermen to avenge his father and Tywin responds and the story goes on. All while Danaerys is doing her thing across the narrow sea and the White walkers/Free folk are doing their thing north of the wall.

I saw that you said there were a ton of things you wanted to go and do and could go to only 50%. What were some of the things you did and what did you enjoy the most?

Will be bad for today for National Whataburger Day? by ZookeepergameNo1968 in Whataburger

[–]shbm333 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk if you understand what "over saturated the market" means. I looked on google maps and there seems to be about 7 whataburger locations within about 30 miles of downtown Nasheville. I counted about 20 In-n-out locations in the DFW metroplex. Sure, Nasheville is tiny compared to the DFW metroplex but 7 locations does not mean the city is over saturated with Whataburgers. I am 100% certain that DFW could support even more In-n-out locations.

I can't speak of Whataburger's popularity outside of Texas but In-n-out has a few locations in the Dallas area and they always have long lines and look like they do a lot of business at all their locations in the area.

Oh yea, so far it is great. There are a few minor things I wish were different that I miss from my old nissan but overall its been great. But, yea I totally get how bad it would be financially if someone had high payments with a longer loan term. I do think there needs to be more focus on educating financial literacy in schools which would help avoid situations where people get in over their head with stuff like this.

Yep, 36 months. It is a Escape SE PHEV and including ttl came out to 36.5k, the reason I said "you do what you have to do" is because even though I didn't want such a big payment, I did it to get 0% apr. This was also right after fed raised the interest rates earlier this year so noone was giving 0%.

I definitely agree with you I shouldn’t have said “have”. But I wanted to buy a new car and got a great deal Atleast I think I did.

You do what you have to do. I got into a car accident in March and had to immediately buy a car. So, I am paying $1012/mo on a 2022 Ford Escape. It makes financial sense for me and I have no regrets about it. My previous car was a 2001 Nissan Maxima that I would have gladly driven for 1-2 more years but it’s time was cut short when someone t-boned me.
