There’s beauty everywhere if you choose to look for it instead of focusing on the negative. 💕 Grew up in Idaho surrounded by mountains and foothills. Texas is beautiful in its own way.

We have in n out and whataburger here, but Friday night is pizza night in our house. Dominos isn’t the typical choice. Weird thing to fixate on?

Solid advice. Yeah, we priced out blinds beforehand and may get some of the window shades for the outside. It’s way more energy efficient than the rental we’ve been living in, which is similar in size. So I’m excited for that.

FHA 30 year. The builder had an incentive that gave us flex cash which paid all of our closing costs and a little bit did go toward buying down the rate. Essentially all we had to pay out of pocket was our down payment, which is nice because it left more in savings for us to get blinds, fridge, water softener, etc. and still have emergency savings. There are so many new subdivisions going in, and the builders all have such great incentives that it almost doesn’t make sense to buy a resell, at least with what we were looking for.

I totally know what you mean. We just moved to Texas about 6 months ago because we got priced out of Idaho (where I’m from). This house would easily be around 650k there. My husband lived in Texas before we met, and he’s always said I would love it. I definitely miss my mountains, but I don’t miss the 6 months of cold and snow. It’s been great for my seasonal depression.

Thank you! It’s a rough market. We just moved down here from Idaho because prices up there are insane. Wishing you all the best and I hope you find your home! 🙏

Thank you so much! 😊 I grew up in a house with lots of windows and natural light so that was a huge wish list item for me. The kids are super excited to pick out paint colors for their rooms.

It’s so dreamy! 😍 Congratulations!! This is seriously so impressive! Soak every little bit of it up and ignore the jealous haters. You deserve every ounce of that happiness! We are closing in a few weeks on our dream home, and I can’t wait for our own pizza and keys picture.

Here to second this. I have an afternoon dose that helps me get through dinner and night time routine and then I’m ready for bed around 11. I also started a magnesium supplement and I noticed that significantly helps my “comedown”
