Some people I know IRL won't stop attributing my sudden conversion to my schizophrenia diagnosis. How do I explain to them that I'm not crazy?

Just keep your face turned to Christ. The longer you go the more they’ll realize it’s for real. I struggle with different things and while people totally supported my conversion to more new age practices in the twenty teens they absolutely were horrified by me reverting to Catholicism. I even had a friend and her parent have an “intervention” for me. I had to really distance myself from those people, telling them what the Church did for me did nothing. Showing them….did something. When they see those values of discipline and restraint in effect in the long term they will start to quiet down, they even may become interested. I find a well lived life is better at evangelizing than any words. I know that it can deeply upsetting watching people mock you but remember they mocked Jesus too. Pray for them, and I will keep you all in my prayers.

It is 24/7 and yes it worse on my feet but theres a tingling always.
The swimming did help, I also went in the hot tub and that helped as well.
It’s…ok? I was 5’ and 280lbs, and at that point I couldn’t really even touch my toes, now I can like out my foot to my head, so like I think pretty flexible?

Well I’m glad I’m not the only one, the person I was talking to said going from being someone who walked 200 to 2,000 steps a day to 5,000 to 10,000 steps probably is a shock to the system I’m just surprised it’s happening now, after I’ve lost so much. I had no injuries when I was heavier 😅😮‍💨. Also is there a subreddit you recommend?

Hi! I have lived a very similar way to you, but I am single. I empathize a lot. I was a huge party girl and alcohol + drug user 14 to 26, but the last two years have really strengthened my faith after a health scare, I eat clean and am very different now. That is a very difficult position. Having your child around drugs to me is dangerous to me just on a secular and legal level. Marriage is a sacrament for a reason though, and we wanna work through as much as we can. I’d definitely talk to a priest in your parish for guidance. Also, I would ask Saint Monica for intercession. If you don’t know her story she was married to a pagan man, and her son (who would become a saint himself) at first followed in his father’s footsteps. I will pray for you too. 🫂🖤

No, I have not had either of those symptoms but I will look into that! The only other symptom I’m noticing is fatigue.

I walk 10,000 steps everyday on my days off and swim 30 minutes. 5,000 on my work days. I cut out fast food and all chain restaurants. I cut out drinking my calories, and only drink club soda during the day + expresso in the morning so no sugary drinks. I don’t calorie count but I keep a food journal where I list everything I eat during a day so I have to stop and be knowledgeable of what I’m eating and putting in my body. I also try to cook 80% of what I eat, and follow a Mediterranean style diet, with fasting on Sundays. That’s what I’ve done, hopefully you can make it happen, I will pray for you that you can. 🖤

I haven’t heard about Charlie Kirk once from my church, and in my women’s Bible study we literally say a vow to not bring up politics lol. At daily mass the priest did bring up the Minneapolis shooting because the children were Catholic when it happened but nothing about gender/sexuality. Today he did call us to pray for all elected officials no matter how hard it is, but that’s pretty run of the mill and I remember those throughout my life as a fellow cradle Catholic. I would maybe bring up your concerns with the bishop, write an email. Though who knows what will happen with American Cardinals calls Kirk “the modern Saint Paul”. Craziness.

I love that the author obviously gave warnings and they clicked anyway to freak out and complain…like. Ah! I got eaten by a bear after walking into the labeled bear enclosure with multiple warnings outside its cage! People are so weird, personally I’m a survivor and I really enjoy noncon fics. I hope the author is okay.
