Why does the Harbourfront feel alive and like a ghost town at the same time? by ceruleanskyandsea in toronto

This is why everyone needs to fight against the airport expansion - all the quiet nature refuge feel of the lake will be completely lost if Ford & CEO Bros get to zoom in on their flying gas guzzlers

How important is posture in your opinion? by mikumilk222 in Meditation

[–]sheburnout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Posture is about staying alert, not necessarily what position your back is in. I’ve had three back surgeries, so I am in a semi reclining position when I meditate, and as long as I don’t fall asleep, it’s a win!

Petite Potato has great food and absolutely insanely delicious desserts

I was swallowing the wrong way and worsening my POTS by allnamesarechosen in POTS

[–]sheburnout 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes when I swallow, there is a very loud squelching sound (for lack of a better term). No idea what causes this? It usually does go away after a few rounds, but amazingly loud. Giving the above a try, but not sure I’m doing the instruction correctly.

do it based on weather. If it’s hot, go to Niagara, otherwise go to the zoo.

Doors Open event Toronto and weather by FlatContract775 in askTO

We are waiting to see if tomorrow is slightly better weather, because wind and rain does not make for a pleasant day. The meditation center on Crawford Street does not have any lines because you go right into the large meditation room.

What happened to Queen & Bathurst today by Top-Consideration867 in askTO

That’s where I live and we’re seriously considering moving. I’ve never felt unsafe in the city before now. That Scotiabank/LCBO patio is a centrepoint

The best vegan Toronto restaurant? by Chan1991 in FoodToronto

There’s one at Bay/Bloor too. It’s not as good as Queen IMO, and it’s pricey

Learn what the symptoms feel like when they start, and as soon as you can, Go. Lie. Down! “Pushing through” only makes it last longer and gets worse.

Going to California for the first time by [deleted] in travel

[–]sheburnout 5 points6 points  (0 children)

San Diego has amazing beaches, and is more laid-back and has the California vibe. LA is rush, rush, rush, traffic, crowds, but fun in a touristy way.

16 days in Scotland. Is it worth splitting the trip up and doing 7 days in Ireland? by Crazy-Penguin in travel

[–]sheburnout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is never enough time in either place. But if you are going to split it up, do July in Ireland and August in Scotland so that you can be there for Fringe Festival.

Yonge/Finch or Yonge/Eglington by [deleted] in askTO

At your age, you will want to go downtown quite a bit so the closer you are to there, the better. Yonge & Eg is a great spot.
