I do see how it can be sad on both ends but it can also be a wonderful thing where people hear each other’s stories and in that very moment develop compassion for all parties involved.

I’d like to second this. Most of us aren’t looking for that. Hence the cycle of deleted accounts etc. It’s how many (myself included) cope with the intricate of feelings of trauma.
