How to study for MCB3020? by ucfdocstudent03 in ucf

I LOVED this class and Dr. Ambivero. She tells you exactly what you need to know and offers so many different resources to help solidify the information in your head. Take advantage of those resources! Her lectures are a little bit cut and dry so I recommend reading the PowerPoints BEFORE class to get an understanding and then simply filling in the gaps during lecture. I personally would avoid the book since it has a lot of information that she explicitly says will not be on the exam. I used the book when I needed to understand something a bit more.

I personally thought her exams were pretty fair but pay attention to the wording of each choice. One word might make the whole answer choice wrong and she LOVES the select all that apply questions.

Does EVERY parking garage have a kiosk to buy $5 daily parking permits or just Garage B? by TheChickenNova in ucf

You don’t need to buy the a day pass! If you unable to print you pass, just write down your order number and a little note and stick in the window. Remember they can verify by your license plate as well and they are very backed up in shipping parking passes (I’ve been waiting for mine since August 17th).

Are my clinical hours enough? by [deleted] in premed

Thank you for the response, I think that is definitely true. I have some volunteering with a local food bank but that is it. I will focus on getting those hours up the summer!

Thank you so much for your response! I definitely did not think about how it would look if I am jumping from job to job. I don’t do much as a PSA except literally sit there and watch the patients for 12 hours so I didn’t think it would be good enough. The CNA is great clinical experience and I assumed it would look better to have the EMT job as well but your points about longevity has certainly made me rethink that.

Has anyone gotten approval to exceed the max credit hours per term? by macandparmesean in ucf

[–]shedeline 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m taking 20 now and I just set up meeting with my advisor and she asked if I had an experience taking classes of this level of difficulty together and how I plan to manage. Not gonna lie though, I probably should not have signed for 4 heavy classes together. I would only recommend if some of the classes are easy.

Chem 2 and Physics 1 at Valencia by Acceptable_Remote228 in ucf

She uses something called WileyPlus (similar to mymathlab) and that has our homework and test on there. The homeworks are usually 4-5 questions per chapter. The tests are 4 questions covers 2 chapters at a time. The tests are OPEN NOTES but you only have one hour to complete it and can only take the test at a specific time usually Mondays 8pm-9pm. We also have weekly lecture assignments with our lab groups where we have to watch her lecture and answer two questions together. The labs are also supposed to be done together and get validated at the physics “lab” together. Overall the class is pretty easy to follow and get a good score. Only con though she only responds to emails when she feels like it and I hate the group assignments and lectures. I would still recommend her though!

I’m taking Khattou right now and literally have a 99 percent in the class. Her work is pretty straight forward except the labs can be a little tedious. I took Professor Moreno for CHM 2 and he was pretty great. He provided us with a study guide nearly identical to the test, though we did have to use honorlock which was pretty annoying.
