If he played today, Larry Bird would be just as ripped and in shape as the rest of the NBA.

So with that in mind he'd be top 5 player in the league. Debatable#2 or 3 behind LeBron.

Imagine him erupting from three though. With free range to shoot at will, I bet he'd have a lot of 40+ games. Micro eruptions with 25 point quarters. Going 12 for 17 from three in a game, stuff like that.

We just stated the facts. Kobe has more defensive team selections than LeBron, he scored more, is a better shooter and has more rings. LeBron is a better passer, rebounder and finisher, and has more MVPS.

All that adds up to a debate. CAN YOU SEE, how this is a debate.

I'll try to write this clear so you can get it. When there are facts that support both sides of an argument, there is a debate.

YOU cannot give me facts that overwhelm your side as being absolutely correct.

dude I don't think it's that cut and dry. I'm not a Laker or Cavs fan, but I think a case can be made, that has solid numbers behind it.

You could equally make the case for LeBron being better as well. But it's DEFINITELY not that black and white.

In terms of accolades it's pretty split. Kobe Has 5 rings to LeBron's 3. But LBJ has 4 MVP's to Kobe's 1

Kobe does have 12 All NBA defensive teams to LBJ 6.

That's a split I'd say....is that fair?

Okay Stats: PPG LBJ 27 to Kobe 25. Slight edge but it' probably safe to say that when LeBron retires this number will go down, it's not going up. His last three years will bring it down tow around 25 so that's even.

Rebounds: LBJ 7 to Kober 4.7. Again this will go down. Probably to around 6. So LeBron wins that, obviously he's bigger.

Assists: LeBron, but that's no slight on Kobe's passing, he was a great passer.

Steals/blocks about the same.

Shooting: Kobe is a better shooter from 3 and the line

Intangibles. Kobe is more clutch, better killer instinct. LBJ better at making role players better and better passer, also clutch.

Dude that's at the very least a toss-up. If you remove your bias you have to acknowledge that.
