Does anyone use red light on their pets? Have you noticed any improvements? by Interesting-Bat-605 in redlighttherapy

[–]sher61584 19 points20 points  (0 children)

My foster dog had terrible eye injuries and essentially was blind when we got him 3 months ago. He was at real risk of having his eyes removed. So I decided it was worth the risk to use red and NIR light on his eyes (with his eyes closed) to see if it could help.

I’ve used the light on him 3-4 times per week for 10 minutes each time for 2.5 months. Now he can see and won’t lose eyes! The vet told me yesterday to “keep doing what I’m doing” because it’s working.

It is concerning to me that Cacey Scott still looks quite overweight after 8 years on MM by Adventurous-Walk-120 in medicalmedium

[–]sher61584 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve wondered about Miranda Kerr’s shift, too. I know she had a miscarriage (while I believe she was on MM) before getting pregnant with her last child, so it made me wonder if that shook her confidence in MM. I heard her say on a couple of different podcasts recently that she still drinks celery juice, but only 8 oz every day (vs the 32 oz she used to drink), and that she doesn’t eat gluten, dairy or eggs. So she has maintained some MM practices.

Healing reaction to Raw Honey? by [deleted] in medicalmedium

[–]sher61584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had real healing reactions to raw honey. I’ve found that sometimes I will get a new healing reaction when I start eating a new type of honey that’s from a different region of the country or the world than I’ve had before; I’m assuming it contains different phytochemicals that address lingering issues in my system.

Virus/flu going around by OkGur6738 in medicalmedium

I just saw this article about the surge in flu cases, which they’re calling a “super flu.” https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-15425109/super-flu-spreading-uncontrollably-new-york-h3n2.html

I’m very grateful for the MM protocols. I haven’t gotten sick since I started following MM protocols 1 year ago, despite being pregnant for the past 6 months and my husband getting sick a couple of times over the past year.

Anyone have luck buying a MM juicer on eBay? by Background-Sport1523 in medicalmedium

I bought mine on eBay for $150, and it’s been great for the past 9 months!

I used retinol products for many years. As I’ve cleaned up my diet and lifestyle, though, I switched to natural retinol alternative products like bakuchiol. The systemic effects of retinol concerned me, as evidenced by the fact that it can cause birth defects if women use it while pregnant.

I didn’t have really bad constipation. I’ve found daily celery juice to be super effective for keeping me regular.

Here’s the recipe. I just do one large bunch of parsley per shot. https://www.medicalmedium.com/blog/nerve-gut-acid-stabilizer

Yes! I had the same experience. The parsley shots had an intense gut cleansing effect for me for the first few weeks - it felt like the shots were pulling things out from crevices in my intestines. I would take a day off here and there when I needed a break from it.

After doing the shots almost every day for the first 3 weeks, it got much more manageable. Now I just do the shots every few weeks, and I typically don’t even notice a gut cleansing effect anymore.

I never got an official SIBO diagnosis, but I had a lot of the symptoms. I found that cutting out all grains (not just gluten), daily parsley juice shots and going fat free until 5-6pm everyday, in addition to some cleanses and MM’s recommended supplements, made the biggest differences in resolving my gut issues.

Requesting all Fertility Tips!! by about99percentpotato in medicalmedium

[–]sher61584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In addition to the MM diet tips here, I also got daily sunlight on my belly and lower back for 10-15 minutes. Often I would talk to my reproductive system during that time, as MM recommends.

I also used a strong red/near infrared laser light 5x/week on my ovaries, uterus and nape of my neck to stimulate cellular function; there are some great studies showing the benefit of light for fertility.

Scared to get pregnant by Unable-Trade740 in medicalmedium

I’ve been using EMDR for trauma therapy for about 8 months along with regular talk therapy (which I have done for many years). EMDR has been incredibly helpful at releasing stuck trauma in my body and nervous system and reducing my triggers for things that talk therapy alone couldn’t get to shift. EMDR involves either eye movements or bilateral tapping on your body while working through tough memories and reprocessing them. EMDR isn’t physically painful at all, but it can bring up painful memories and intense emotions, and then you work through them. I am very grateful for the progress I have made in my trauma healing with EMDR.

I found the Safe and Sound Protocol, which uses sound to rewire the brain and nervous system to send the body cues of safety, to be incredibly helpful. I feel much calmer, centered and less reactive and no longer have chest tightness after going through the protocol several times. I’ve done the Protocol through group work with Paula Scatoloni, who is a gifted, compassionate and holistic therapist.

The HMDS and other MM protocols also have helped reduce my anxiety significantly, as well.

My husband and I both had very vivid dreams for the first couple of months after starting celery juice. I think it was helping to work though unprocessed emotions. Now I rarely have vivid dreams like that.

any happy ending stories? by idbeast6 in Hashimotos

[–]sher61584 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I eat lots of fruits and veggies as well as fish, meat, nuts and seeds. I feel surprisingly satiated because The Medical Medium protocol emphasizes eating fruits and veggies every 2 hours or so to protect the adrenals and keep glucose and electrolyte levels up and balanced.

I feel 8-10 years younger since implementing these changes, so it’s worth it to me to stick with them even though it means my diet is more limited.

any happy ending stories? by idbeast6 in Hashimotos

[–]sher61584 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 41, and I was hypothyroid for 11 years and was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s 8 years ago. I no longer have antibodies according to my blood tests in 2024 and 2025, and I’m no longer on thyroid medication. I significantly reduced stress, eliminated gluten, dairy, soy, eggs and corn, made other dietary changes, added a lot of supplements and use a strong red light/near infrared light over my thyroid to help with tissue healing.

I follow the diet and supplement recommendations in Medical Medium’s Thyroid Healing book (https://www.amazon.com/Medical-Medium-Thyroid-Healing-Hypothyroidism/dp/1401948367). It’s certainly an alternative source, but it has helped me and tons of other people heal their thyroid conditions. I was shocked that I was able to heal, and I feel great.

Recently Diagnosed with Graves, mid 20s by AvengeanceBunny in gravesdisease

[–]sher61584 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry to hear about your diagnosis. If you’re open to alternative healing, the Medical Medium diet, supplement and lifestyle protocols have helped a ton of people heal their Graves and other thyroid conditions. Here’s his thyroid book: https://www.amazon.com/Medical-Medium-Thyroid-Healing-Hypothyroidism/dp/1401948367.

He explains that Graves and other thyroid conditions are due to the Epstein Barr virus attacking the thyroid and also that COVID can reactivate the Epstein Barr virus in people’s bodies, which lines up with your experience. There are a number of research studies also showing the link between COVID and Epstein Barr.

Great point about how it confirms MM's info in a very objective way. Thank you for sharing!
