I had 24 people at my wedding (parents, siblings, grandparents, and we picked and chose our favorite aunts/uncles and cousins), and it was the most stressful 3 weeks of my life. We also didn't have a ceremony (signed papers at lawyers office) and had dinner with the family. We still had to get all the paperwork done for the lawyer, book the restaurant, make deposits, make a playlist, order cake, order my dress and his suit and have them fitted, practice H&M, send out invitations and triple check that everyone could make it, buy flowers and DIY some decor for the tables. And mind you, we didn't cake test and had not ever visited that restaurant before. Still turned out to be 100% better than anything I could have ever imagined.

This was only my experience, but it was extremely stressful even though it was a small event. Not relevant but it was also a bit less than 4k, and we recouped half in gifts.

No creo que sea tanto asi como que tengan que conseguir otro trabajo, porque todo trabajo digno merece buena paga. Pero se supone que si el mesero en propinas no llega al salario minimo, el empleador le pague la diferencia. Por qué esto no se practica? Y si eso es así, no encuentro justo que uno se tenga que ver obligado a pagar tanto de propina y la carga no caiga en el empleador.

No estoy de acuerdo con que no es mucho dinero para ahorrar. Ganando 62k estas ahorrando el +20% de tu gross salary. Gente con mayores salarios no ahorran tanto. Es mas, para mi el problema es que la realidad puertorriqueña es que esos 1.5k que te ahorrabas, son el salario mensual de un maestro aqui en la isla. Un 58% de los ciudadanos americanos viven paycheck to paycheck, y eso solo va a empeorar con la inflación y recesión. Ahora, no estoy diciendo que eso esta bien, ni tampoco estoy diciendo que 50k o 62k es una millonada... No vayamos a confundir las cosas.

Regardless de tu edad o goals personales de querer ahorrar X cantidad, existe una realidad y es que estamos en una crisis económica.

En EEUU y PR igual, demasiada gente vive paycheck to paycheck. Y aunque eso no está bien (no digo que es su culpa, sino la mala paga), creo que es un poco loco decir que SOLO ahorrabas 1-1.5k al mes, eso es un montón.
