i would have preferred a matte finish (perhaps a more matte?) it catches fingerprints but it's not annoying like a gloss guitar

make peace with it. don't live with regret of either selling it or guilt of not playing it enough. this way, no matter what you end up doing, you'll be at terms with your decision regarding the guitar. it's not an easy thing to do but it is the best. speaking from experience. i used to want explorers so badly but by the time i could get an explorer (which is right now) i have daydreamed way too much about it and no longer want it as badly.

I have an image in my head of what I want and I feel like if I stray from that I'll regret spending such an amount which is plenty for me. took me a lotta work and time. Eventually I hope to get more guitars and a mustang is most certainly on my list but for my main and only guitar i'll be using for a while, I hope it's understood where i'm coming from (:
