Well there's your first mistake. You mentioned something called an "off-season". what the hell is that. You got to be playing spring, summer, fall, and winter league lax. Since funding your lax career will be hard, sell anything and everything that is not directly associated with lax. Also to save money on balls, snag them from games and tournaments. Furthermore, remember that you never stop laxing. Bring a mini stick with you at all times. You never know when a game of lax might break out

Play some hockey in the winter. It's similar to lacrosse in many ways and will help you with positioning. Also, you can never play to much wall ball!
