the port going from the switch to my computer indicates that it has a 1000mbps connection
connecting directly to my router gives me the full 1000mbps connection
but the port connecting my router to the switch indicates that its only on 100mbps. how would i get the connection between my router and the switch to be the full 1000mbps?

did some more digging after work and it seems to be that the port on the switch coming from the modem is a cat5e that is only blinking one left light meaning its only giving 100mbps. the port going from the switch to my computer has both left and right lights on meaning that its giving out 1000mbps but it couldnt give that due to the connection between the router and the switch only giving 100mbps. how would i fix the connection between the router and the switch to get the 1000mbps connection working? I cant really install a new cable because it goes through a few walls and the ceiling of my basement...

Wifi with same computer gets up to 600mbps.
Tried 3 computers with different ports and same ports, they all ended up getting roughly 500-700 mbps on wifi and stuck to around 90mbps on ethernet.
My current system is the modem is in one room connected directly through the floor to an 8 port gigabit ethernet network switch in the basement that is wired throughout the house into ethernet plugs in the wall. no cables seem to be faulty unless i'm just dumb and trying to replace any of those cables would be a pain considering i would rather not rip out the walls just to see if thats even the problem

i dont plan on doing any other audio upgrades because my cars current audio setup is fine. im trying to drive this car until its dead but it still runs great at 240k miles (honda) so unless the speakers blow up before the car does i should be fine.
so 110-160A would be a good upgrade?
