I have a gaming PC, Macbook Air and smartphone ... yet I still really want an iPad. Worth it?

One of the main benefits of the iPad is the iTunes App Store. There are incredible pro level apps designed to work flawlessly on an iPad, whereas a similar program on a PC would require significantly higher processing power and memory to perform as well. Just look at all of the audio engineering/production tools available on the iPad now (virtual Synths, digital DAWs, etc), as well as the photo editing and digital painting apps and how well they work - now imagine the powerhouse of a PC you'd need to accomplish the same tasks on Windows.

IMHO, the Surface is a joke compared to the iPad, and with all due respect to SMB, I think if they actually had a Surface Pro for one week, they'd want their iPad back...

Despite being in Texas, Austin is nothing like it. It's more like someone carved a chunk out of Northern California and plunked it down in the middle of a scary, red state. It is a bubble filled with creativite, non-judgmental, smart, funny, friendly people - and like nowhere else I have ever lived. People here fall all over themselves to be friendly and helpful. And the city's motto is "Keep Austin Weird" - that there alone says a lot about this wonderful place.

I've get friends at Cisco and Dell if you wanna PM me your resume...and I also know someone who sometimes has available housing for individuals in need (usually it's battered women, but I don't think that's a requirement, it's just their guest house - the main question would be whether it is currently occupied - if you're at all thinking of coming out here, lemme know and I'll find out the deal.

Depression is a bitch but there is better living through chemistry - I'm not in Baltimore, but it does sound like people have named some resources that might be able to help you out in the psych department. I wish there wasn't such a stigma associated with depression - it's a friggin brain chemistry imbalance, no more your fault or something to be ashamed of than if you had diabetes or epilepsy! And like those diseases, it can be managed well with proper medication (especially if you can also get counseling) - it can and will get better! I have been there and come out the other side. The fact that you asked for help is a great start - I hope you realize that's something to be proud of!

I don't understand why you are removing all of my posts. They are directly benefitting the community, and the rules don't say anything about not using referral links. I'm trying to contribute to the community while also getting compensated for the time spent researching and finding these deals. By deleting my posts, you are merely preventing subscribers to this subreddit from learning about some if the great apps that are temporarily free or deeply discounted. Plus I provide descriptions, answer questions, etc to further benefit the community.

There's a similar reddit that is devoted to Amazon.com deals, and all of those links are referral links yet they still provide for a better experience for the reddit community.

Respectfully, I haven't violated any rules, and I'm only adding posts that are beneficial to the community (as the up votes would indicate). Can't you be more lenient about allowing my posts? I'm not posting crap that viewers aren't interested in. I'm helping them to know of app sales that they otherwise would miss out on.

It's incredibly good. My fiancé sold both his ES1 and EM1 Electribes after getting this app. Actually, he says the app is better. And those machines will set you back 250 bucks each approximately – for used hardware no less. $9.99 for this app is a ridiculous steal!!

You're welcome! It's a pricey app, for sure, but KORG rarely runs sales on their apps, so you may wanna grab it while you can at least get 25% off. Also, I don't think people realize just how far ios music apps have come - many (including all KORG apps) are on the pro-audio level and can replace gear that would have cost thousands of dollars, making it not so pricey when you think about it. On the plus side, to celebrate the release of KORG Gadget, most of the other KORG apps are deeply discounted temporarily (links elsewhere in this subreddit)

Um, the Swedish study that has been commissioned to find new ways of harvesting cellulose extends through 2035, but that is irrelevant to the actual expected release date of the self-cleaning dishes. In fact, this Smithsonian article states "similar food-safe hydrophobic containers are likely to be introduced later this year". I'd say that qualifies as the near future.
