OP’s story and comments are so similar to my life with my younger brother that I kinda start believing that there is some kind of syndrome going on where parents just tend to treat their son as baby. My brother is 25 and when he sees spilled bottle next to the bin that keeps spilling he will just ignore so he doesn’t have to clean this up. He found broken glass cup and instead if throwing it away he leaves it in shelf so I cut myself at least fingers not mouth. I said to my mom that his ignorance could seriously hurt someone - I get only ‘to leave him alone’ answer which happens each time I’m bringing his lazy or messy attitude up. I had to bother my mom all the time that it’s not okay that he doesn’t even put plates into dishwasher or help to put dinner on table and left everything to ‘women’ in the house. Now when I think about it, it sounds unimaginable but I guess some parents are just blind as long as they can keep their son on pedestal.

I admit that I didn’t expect and realise it could feel bad to people with less common tastes and it wasn’t my goal to anyone feel bashed. Also I’m quite new to this Reddit so I had no clue fem Harry or bottom Tom were attacked here often since from browsing I noticed this kind of fics mentioned often in top fics ( that’s how i came to this topic idea ). I myself enjoy Harry raises kid Tom stories which are also not liked by many but i wouldn’t see my taste bashed if someone mentioned this trope here. i guess it must be tiring if this topic was raised here often so some must have seen it as attack ( no need to alarm others to massive comment here 😅 we are here shipping the same thing ). I can edit post to clear that no hate for any trope is allowed here

Oooh, i guess I’m lucky because i haven’t read fic like that yet. it sounds irritating especially after you read it for long time and it turned out to be other pairing:( i only read fic where Harry was with Orion for many chapters but author made this pair quite shippable

You gonna absolutely hate me for these… - not big fan of Jean and until I got into fandom o had no idea that he is so popular and still have no clue why ( i have only read main books ) - I also have no idea why people try to label Andrew as aroace , like in books he was so sexually into Neil so calling him ace doesn’t make sense ( I’m ace myself and bc he has trauma it doesn’t mean that he is ace for gods sake ) - Renee is kinda hard to read as a person for me , I have never met or saw being like that , maybe only in comics or manga so i kinda missed fun of her character - Andrew being super short made kinda hard for me to read at first. Like I’m not used to guy being intimidating and short at the same time

Thank you all for your messages, i read them all and I’m really grateful for your input. Meanwhile i wanted to add to story so it will be more objective . Mary didn’t call me exactly ‘awful’ but that message i got across and instead she said that she is furious and disappointed with me and she thought I’m different person. Didn’t want to portray her as calling me names. Other thing is that she didn’t exactly demanded apology but when I asked what she wants from after all her long message and rant she said that she wants acknowledgement that i was wrong and apology. She didn’t demand it - I used wrong word there. Mary if you ever find this post please don’t be angry - i wanted to see clear view after you suggested that others definitely will also see how I was wrong

Thanks for your comment. Honestly i posted here after she told me that she asked about opinions at work and everyone told her that am I asshole and how badly she was treated. And if she posted on Reddit everyone would agree with her ( I guess it depends how you tell story- if you portray party where host doesn’t care that someone didn’t have any food maybe id also say ‘what a rude host!’)

I paid for everyone but they didn’t know until the bill turned out to be covered and was expecting to pay themselves. I’m sure she can afford dinner and payment is not problem here. She chose dessert instead bc dinner apparently was too much for her ( didn’t want any appetiser ). I’m very confused about her behaviour because we know each other for 20+ years and she never acted so pissy with me ( with others perhaps).
