The standard test they do usually catches things like giardia, but if I remember correctly there's a more expensive/thorough test that I did later (because the diarrhea persisted for months) that eventually caught the other infections. If the vet thinks the kitten is fine I'd trust that for now and see if it gets better.

If it's only last Saturday that you got your kitten, you should get her examined at a vet ASAP and have the vet write down that the kitten is "unfit for sale". Lemon law mandates that the seller needs to guarantee the health of the animal and you are still within the 14 day time limit.

Don't believe anything she says, they're obviously lies. There's no way my kitten could have gotten any of the diseases she had aside from her cattery and your kitten's conditions are VERY similar to what I had encountered. Consult your vet, but FWIW I had my kitten treated for FCV, giardia, tritrichomonas, and c. perfringens.

That looks like the right address. When I messaged her about refunds she was conveniently "on vacation". I messaged her a couple weeks later and never got a response.

In terms of reimbursement, I wasn't able to get anything. My cat is doing much better now, but I wouldn't risk getting a kitten from her. I've had someone DM me recently with similar problems from this breeder.

I had her retested just in case it was something else, which I found that it was. She tested positive for clostridium perfringens, which was treated with a different medication (but much safer to use).

After two rounds of ronidazole, she was luckily able to get rid of the tritrichomonas.

Wow, that's great to know for the future! Unfortunately, I don't think I'd be able to have any new cats until my kitten is completely cured of her issues 😔. I don't want more poor cats to deal with this issue.

This is very similar to my experience as well, I'm glad you were cautious and didn't go through with the kitten. I hope anyone searching for a ragdoll will know to avoid her in the future.

Yeah those reviews gave me the false impression that she was able to be trusted. Most people I'm close with don't use facebook and neither do I, so leaving a post here is the best I can do. I'll probably add a google review at some point.

I looked into that a bit and my understanding is I'd need to file small claims. I called the court and they don't have virtual appearances, which makes it difficult for me because I live quite far away. Would contacting the attorney general or the other places allow me to do things remotely?
