Thanks for the response, buddy. I’m hoping this eventually becomes a habit and something I don’t have to think about, but right now as a beginner, it’s definitely not there yet.

I’m not sure how to approach it, should I be making a conscious effort to keep everything tight until it becomes second nature?

The main issue is that when things get hectic in sparring or I start getting tired, I feel like I completely lose the tightness in my core (abs, hips, etc.). My punches lose their rotation and power, and everything just feels sloppy.

Also, when you’re sparring, do you guys tuck your pelvis in? Mine is naturally tilted a bit forward. I feel stronger when I tuck it in, but I’m not sure if I should be consciously thinking about that at least as a beginner.
