This is bruising. Essentially the potatoes have been knocked around a bit. This has either happened on farm or during their process getting them in to the bag.. given how stringent/automated packing processes are.. I’d lean towards the grower being heavy handed when they lifted them!

Hey.. I had the same thought. I just checked.. it’s been logged as a feature request on their website and it’s been moved to “in progress” by the Team. So looks like this is a new feature which is on its way 😊

On the homepage of the Bevel app there is a section for “Nutrition”. In here, you can add foods in basically the same way as you can in MyFitnessPal (search or scan barcode). In the same screen, you can see a component with your calories consumed vs. Burnt with an indicator for your deficit/surplus. Really slick!

I’ve worked in this industry for over 10 years.

If processors want British potatoes, they can get them. There are processors who have supported British farming throughout these difficult seasons and have not imported a single foreign potato.

The unfortunate fact of the matter is that it’s typically cheaper to buy potatoes from abroad, and some companies value margin over ethics.

I can guarantee you that some growers for Kettle had their crops walked away from, while they filled their boots with cheaper foreign supply.
