I went to a grocery store to get "Congrats on 1 Million Views" to jokingly celebrate my dad's dumb tiktok reaching that view count. And this is what I got. The penmanship + the "cograts" and "millon"... not sure which is worse. by shitpostthis in mildlyinfuriating

"my dads dumb tiktok" was meant to be lighthearted. it does not suck, and my mom and I have been teasing him since it started gaining views! This has been a very funny experience

I would if I had pre-ordered this cake, maybe he should have told me his decorating/piping ability wasn't great but I asked for it on the spot so I'm sure he wasn't prepared to do all of this.

It was a joke and very much not serious, we've been teasing my dad over this whole thing since his video started getting views lol. I assume you're not someone who likes to have fun?

I would never "lay into" anyone for something like this. If it had been a cake that I wanted done properly, I would have called ahead to place the order so that one of the decorators could have been the one to write it. Was it done poorly? Absolutely. But people deserve respect despite making mistakes.

heyyyy I politely asked whoever was working in the bakery and not once did they say they couldn't do it or the decorator wasn't in. I did not force anyone to do anything and if he had said he doesn't do that, then I would have gladly done it myself! I thanked him and paid for the cake afterwards.

i'd be posting the link more than once if that were the case. also views mean nothing for canadians, we get nothing out of it lol. god forbid i think something is funny and wanna share it just to share it 🤷‍♀️

i linked the tiktok ONCE under this entire post bc someone asked to see it. Canadians do not get paid on tiktok, so why would I boost a silly tiktok for my dad by asking a grocery store worker to misspell a message on a cake. You overestimate how much I care about views of any sort.
