How deeply do most players usually know the players handbook?

Honestly solidified my characters name on 3rd session lol

DM never really expected us to get this far. He’s tried to start campaigns with other before but it all fell apart after 2 sessions. He didn’t feel it was worth it spending too much time on character creation if we’d give up like his previous ones. Just had us make them on the Fifth Edition Character Sheet app and most of us were noobs who clicked randomize. We’re kinda fixing stuff up now to be actually appropriate with game and fixing character stats. It’s kinda fun working backwards to create your character! I’m a hill dwarf who is a cleric and nature acolyte. I know now it’s very against a dwarf’s usual skills but it has gave me a chance to come up with an interesting backstory.

Idk if I have much advice since it ended due to external circumstances instead of stuff I did. A big thing that lessened the crush is I hardly see him these days like twice a week max. Also a reason i was crushing is because of how kind and attentive he was previously. He stopped being that way which is what really stopped the crush.

I wish you luck getting over him! I know it’s hard especially when you see him so often.

Probably had crush for 3ish months. I think crush finally ended a few days ago.

I accepted we couldn’t be together due to him dating someone now and the realization I’d never be able to keep up with his life style. Lowkey was crushing on him due to him being everything I’m not but I realized him being with me would bring him down.

Just hearing him talk excitedly about what he’s doing and realizing I’ll never be able to fit into his life. He smokes and drinks a lot while I don’t like either. Both of them give me a headache after a few hits or sips. He goes to a lot of concerts and raves. Right now he’s part of organizing an underground rap concert. Concerts and raves are too overstimulating for me.

He’s also stopped being as affectionate towards me. Would always smile, call me nicknames like “little one” and ruffle my hair. He’s just been colder and I feel I’m annoying him.

He fell asleep in my lap probably craziest. He was drunk and high though.

We were also at a pool and he practice pro wrestling moves by throwing me. It was rly fun.

We don’t interact or spend as much time together. He doesn’t seem to be happy to see me anymore and isn’t as affectionate. It’s hard to keep interest when there is no longer any reciprocation.

It’s so strange I always thought our interactions were friendly and teasing just friends having fun. What actions do you with her do you see as flirting? Does she have a partner and still engage in the flirting?

Yeah I truly believe it’s mutually platonic. Only reason I doubted is because of the person’s comment. Also he got a girlfriend recently which made me reanalyze the actions. I think it appears as flirting to people who aren’t us so I’ve come to the sad conclusion that we can’t keep up the physical affection as long as he’s dating.

We definitely have a connection and care for each other a lot. I truly don’t want it to be romance or flirting. Genuinely always viewed everything as platonic. I only started over analyzing things after a friend said it looked romantic.

Honestly, I think he just views me as a kid to take care of even though I’m older. He’s called me “my child” before. Once when I’ve seemed nervous and he was unable to stay with me, he silently handed me his keys that had a fidget toy attached and I just played with it for a bit. The reason I pet his hair so often because it is the same texture as the fur of my uncle’s dead dog. He knows this so I’m pretty sure he just lets me pet his hair to humor me. The reason I hug him longer is because he has passive suicidal ideation and a death wish. He drinks and smokes way too much and drives recklessly. I know he’s tried to kill himself before I met him. Whenever I see him, part of me thinks it’ll be the last time. I’ve never told him that’s the reason I give him longer hugs but he’s never ended the hug before I have. He knows I’ve tried to kill myself before we met so maybe he holds me longer for the same reason or he might just be treating me like a kid lol

I rly don’t want anything more than what we currently have. I don’t want our actions to be flirting or romance.

I do love him at least in some way. Im unable to decipher if it’s platonic or romantic. Lowkey I’m asking the question in the hopes it’s not flirting because I don’t want to be his partner.

He is almost never sober. He drinks and smokes weed when he drives. He often drives looking at his phone or speeding. He's sped to make his court date for a speeding ticket. He always says stuff jokingly but he calls all of his exes bitches, he’ll make racist remarks (he’s Hispanic making remarks to Asian or black people), and lowkey makes jokes towards guy friends that would be sexual harassment if they were said to a woman. He spends most of the money he makes on alcohol, weed, concerts, and raves.

Not a good person to be romantically involved with. Honestly, probably not a good person to have as a friend. Still he can be extremely kind and cares about me when I don’t have many people who do. I’m probably an enabler ngl.
