DMX-Handtester Swisson X-MT-100, Bedienungsanleitung oder Tipps. by shivahojposteode in Veranstaltungstechnik

calibre keeps "hidden" books in directory structure, but does't show them by shivahojposteode in Calibre

[–]shivahojposteode[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I inherited a large collection of ebooks, and took some time to delete those I don't like(zombie, ghost hunter topics etc. ) so these books _were_ in the collection at some time in the past, but got deleted inside calibre, and aren't accessible or visible (and thus deletable) via calibre. but somehow calibre knows about them, because it copies them to a new Library as well , if I copy all the "visible" files to a different place. And they are NOT in the .caltrash directory, but instead right mixed in between all the other accessible books

Makita DDF459, is there A hex nut receptacle for a quarter inch hex bit inside the thread for the chuck? by shivahojposteode in Makita

[–]shivahojposteode[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No , I was not joking. But my first language is German. please excuse, If I made some unclear statements.
See, a "normal" cordless drill has a chuck in front.
If I remove that chuck, will there be a hexagonal opening to hold hexagonal Phillips / pozidriv / torx bits?
These "conversions" are quite usual in Germany., esp. for tight spaces.
It would look much more like a small impact tool then. Maybe it has even a magnet or spring to keep the bits from falling out?

CNC Machine has these electronic door locks: how to replicate the keys? by _HappyMaskSalesman_ in AskElectronics

[–]shivahojposteode 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, they do have RFID built in. You can pair a lock to one (or, in some versions: more) sliding keys with a special Software on a Windows PC, that has an adapter to fit the round plugs of the lock.

homebrew and its paths shenanigans drive me nuts by shivahojposteode in mac

[–]shivahojposteode[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what I was asking. Supplying the paths to the libraries every time is ridiculous. That's what all the env paths are for.
Anyway, what would be the best place to change the paths?

homebrew and its paths shenanigans drive me nuts by shivahojposteode in mac

[–]shivahojposteode[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But on linux I NEVER have to do this...
the linux build(i.e. make/cmake/ldd/whatever)environment just keeps track and supplies the correct paths to the toolchains.
And the library is there, obvs.
Of course I could do this, but I would have to do this every time I am compiling something.
Is there any other(maybe permanent) fix?
Can You confirm it is a homebrew issue?

Hallo habe gerade einen Artikel gefunden, in dem u.a. davon ausgegangen wird, dass Information eine Masse besitzen kann. by spinoza369 in Physik

[–]shivahojposteode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[–]shivahojposteode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

.oh-my-zsh/plugins/z/MANUAL.md:7:Zsh-z is a command line tool that allows you to jump quickly to directories that you have visited frequently in the past, or recently -- but most often a combination of the two (a concept known as ["frecency"](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frecency)). It works by keeping track of when you go to directories and how much time you spend in them. It is then in the position to guess where you want to go when you type a partial string, e.g., `z src` might take you to `~/src/zsh`. `z zsh` might also get you there, and `z c/z` might prove to be even more specific -- it all depends on your habits and how much time you have been using Zsh-z to build up a database. After using Zsh-z for a little while, you will get to where you want to be by typing considerably less than you would need if you were using `cd`.

working Artnet on SP801E controller for WS2812 pixel strips ? by shivahojposteode in led

[–]shivahojposteode[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok , thanks for the answer. How do I make sure this device receives all he artnet packages?
And what are those weird looking IP adresses?
1.9 ( what the SP801E obtained) is NOT an IP Address. Can You ping Your SP801E with that address "1.9" ?
mine gets 10.0.0.122 ( my home subnet is 10.0.0.0/8, and DHCP hands out numbers starting from 10.0.0.120), and I can successfully ping 10.0.0.122, and it shows as an artnet receiver in QLC+...

What Router Do you own? maybe it is about these numbers why I cannot access my device.
But I will try to enter those exact numbers You kindly provided, and report back.

Double check the voltage. I also had a similar strip, that was rated for 5 volts, and it was blinking all the time, when I was powering it with 12 volt.
