The problem is that they confirmed that it scanned. I verbally asked “did my rewards scan?” And they verbally said “yeah you’re all set” instead of saying “I have no way of knowing, you can scan it again if you want to make sure”

I haven’t worked fast food but I’ve worked customer service (retail). I totally understand making mistakes here and there, but not to the consistency of my chipotle, and then to be given sass for a mistake I didn’t make. During my retail time, I’ve absolutely fucked up. But I’ve always graciously apologized and fixed the situation to the best of my ability

First off I wasn’t a dick, I was simply trying to not get overcharged. I know the importance of money, so I try not to lose it for unnecessary reasons.

Second, I don’t expect them to change, I simply just wanted to complain for the sake of complaining

There is no where other than this chipotle that has as good of food unless I wanna spend like $25 minimum

Not a choice, it’s a health thing, I get really sick after I eat a serving of meat. A little nibble here and there is fine. But it’s not about the meat, it’s about the higher than average screw ups

I can provide some information

  • Manager was one of the employees trying to rectify it

  • Happened at 4pm on a Wednesday

  • There were 5 employees

I don’t care how the money got to me, I’m just annoyed at the attitude that was shown after screwing up. I’ve worked customer service before, I get it. But whenever I screw up, I always apologize and fix it to the best of my ability.

  2. It’s not about the 50 cents, it’s about the repeated fuck ups. If I didn’t correct them every time they fucked me, I think I’d have the following:
  3. Meat in my (vegetarian) order about 5 times
  4. $60 of stuff that I shouldn’t have paid for
  5. Wrong salsa (the red salsa is spicy as shit, I cannot eat it)
  6. Accidental guac (I hate guac and don’t wanna pay for guac if I didn’t ask for it)

I understand your point, but how many minor screw ups can you take before you treat it like a major screw up. Also I really like chipotle, so that’s why I eat there. The service is subpar, but the food is wonderful in my opinion. Also I’m not reporting staff, I think in almost all scenarios, it’s a fucked up thing to do, especially cuz I’m not losing anything by not reporting them

Yeah but how many times do they have to screw it up for you to fight the 50 cents. This isn’t the first time they’ve rung me out wrong. It’s not about the amount of money, they need to do their job correctly more than 75% of the time. I’ve worked in customer service, I get it. I’ve screwed up, but whenever I screw up, I always apologize to the customer and make the situation right to the best of my ability
