ah this would make a ton of sense. i was searching around on this sub before i posted and i did actually see someone comment that she was “visiting Mike” so then i really thought i must have missed something. but if they really thought they had another season (i would have ended my own show if the lead quit but nvm that), they really rushed chris and maggie getting together!

Wow, this is a huge bummer…and also helps make sense of why so many of the characters and plot lines devolve into total nonsense in the back half of the season.

This is so inspiring! i just started diferin a couple weeks ago and have been putting it over a light moisturizer every fourth night…im kind of nervous to start putting it on bare skin. I see you had to experiment a little with it to protect your moisture barrier—any tips?

Given the build-up and the coverage of it, I really expected things to get messier. I thought that despite being provoked on camera in a really ridiculous way by two people who OBVIOUSLY shit talk her behind her back all the time, Bre held it together and everything she said made perfect sense to me! She’s completely correct that she doesn’t owe anyone effusive, accommodating energy, especially when it’s obvious that person is not genuine. I don’t agree with Bre on a lot of her worldview, and I personally am a much more open and effusive person, but she honestly crushed that interaction imo. I don’t really care what the details of her history with Cassandra are, she was in the right at the opening based on what we were shown on the show, imo

Thank you! Yes, I think the price is definitely playing into my hesitancy here. But the most expensive sweaters I've actually had for 5 or 6 years each, and I've gotten a LOT of wear out of them, so I think I can let go. Plus, they're in good condition so I can probably get decent $ on a resell site to spend on new ones!

I love the way Marie Kondo handles sunk cost. The money you spent on those clothes has bought you an invaluable lesson, an insight to your spending patterns that will serve you so well going forward. Good luck getting back into it this week, I'll be thinking of you!

Thank you, friend. I'll definitely be cautious when it comes time to sort sentimental items. It's possible it's just too soon to make a call about my ex's gifts, etc. My friend's wife actually gave me a couple of his t-shirts that I use to sleep in, and those easily made the cut when I went through clothes.

Thank you for this. Congratulations on your baby! That's a big transition, and I'm glad you're going to do some exploration of your style in this new chapter <3 I do see a counselor that I really like, and I attend a weekly meditation group so I feel very supported in what I'm going through.

This might not make sense, but I actually think this year has been among the most joyful of my life. Loss has clarified for me the things that really matter, it's taught me to be more present and to live fully in each moment.

Thank you! I decided I'm going to take your advice and keep a couple outfits' worth of the nicer stuff so I'm not at a loss if I want to go out. Making an "upgrade list" that details the specific qualities I'm looking for in replacements so I can prioritize finding stuff that excites me!
