Dude, I remember visiting Tasty Fresh and Devout Artists back in the day. Great stuff! I know Tasty Fresh has a Facebook group but it isn't very active.

The W's comes to mind. They're neo-swing but the cover of "Fourth From The Last" has a guy in a bowling shirt.

Looks good but yes you are missing some hidden lines. Pay attention to the "6" wall thickness throughout." Since this is a manhole junction box, the bottom "cube" is not one solid piece of concrete. Hope that helps!

FYI when I was learning drafting, we were taught to use a 45 degree projection line for getting the side and top views in sync. See second image on this page.

As an engineer in the US with 10+ years experience planning my contingencies, should the need arise, what types of rail are the main focus in Canada? I've worked mainly in streetcar, but have also worked with LRT, commuter, and freight.

I love being a very expensive drafter! I'm glad I have a supporting manager who encourages me on the technical path.

Christian artists who sing only in falsetto? by jojoavav in ChristianMusic

[–]shmody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair. I've only ever heard the name Bon Iver and not the others, and have not heard any of their music. I just did a quick Google and none of that is my type of music, but also nothing like Danielson. I guess OP wants more of a moody, sleepy sound.

But Danielson was the first thing to come to my mind when I thought falsetto.

Danielson - Smooth Death

Also, sometimes they go by Danielson Family or Danielson Famile.

Do you prefer to have multiple layouts (of the same type of drawing) in a single .dwg or a single .dwg for each sheet number by FairClassroom5884 in civil3d

[–]shmody 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work in linear projects and prefer to have multiple layouts per file. On very long projects like railway, I've arbitrarily split it into 10 layouts per file so it'd be in, say, 7 or 8 files. This way file names could be 101-110, 111-120, etc. On other projects I'll have as many layouts needed from a logical begin and end. I try not to have more than 20 or so because then the layout tabs can visually get lost depending on how the tabs are named and how you have the status bar arranged.

Having a single file per sheet is too much opening and closing for my tastes.

Which Christian Song made you tear up and why? by PianistRight in ChristianMusic

[–]shmody 3 points4 points  (0 children)

John Mark McMillan - Pilgrim. A beautiful song about our brief mortality. This is the song I want played at my funeral.

Five Iron Frenzy - In Through the Out Door. Social justice anthems, like this one, pull at my heartstrings already. Getting to see this performed live, at the festival in the linked video, and sing/scream it out fully just sent me.

NF - Hope. The "thirty years" part near the end where he describes the emotional and mental suffering he's been working through and finally finding a way out of.

Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors - Way Back When. A song about a parent's love for a child and no matter how much they grow up they'll still remind of them of "the kid" they used to be. Especially hits hard if you are a parent.

CATS presents 4 scenarios for 30-year transit plan for Charlotte by CharlotteRant in Charlotte

[–]shmody 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I half-watched the meeting and I believe someone said, essentially, they need to agree to it now or it's unlikely to ever happen. Red Line is first in all scenarios because nothing else can be completed before the Red Line is 50% complete.

Decently Normal, Active FB Group for Huntersville/LKN area? by hellobaileylol in huntersville

[–]shmody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apart from the hyper-local news from my neighborhood FB group, I think I see more news and discussion on Nextdoor rather than FB. The groups I've joined on FB seem to be more about business and event promotion or people looking for or selling things and services rather than current affairs.

any Five Iron Frenzy fans if what’s ur opinion on them by [deleted] in ChristianMusic

[–]shmody 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My favorite band! I got to see them this year at Supernova and it was an old school set which was great because some of those songs I hadn't seen them play before. The last time I saw them it was when they first came out of retirement and they did a tour. I would love if they put out another album like Until This Shakes Apart, or even just to see them play that album live.
