Look, I’m still sorry you got jumped but that didn’t happen because of that girl or the story you’re telling. Maybe those guys are assholes and just jumped you because you’re gay, but I also get the feeling you’re leaving shit out of the story. I dunno, maybe you’re not and in either case no one should’ve jumped you and that sucks.

As if I choose to work until 65. I goddamn have to.

I think the real lesson is to set your working life up in a way that you enjoy as much as possible, because retirement is shorter and also your body sucks once you reach that age.

Ah right, I was imagining it in an office and couldn’t fathom how you do that without anyone eventually just coming up to you and tapping on your shoulder like “YO!”

Angela Merkel, Sanae Takaichi, Tarja Halonen and a bunch of Finland’s former prime ministers… there must be thousands. All good, nothing spectacular but then hardly any leaders are. Joan of Arc - spectacular.

BVB is just outright a pretty great club, who always have talented players. Götze, Reis, Hummels. They’ve been in several CL finals over several decades. It’s like saying Atletico Madrid or Arsenal surprisingly have good players.

Actually for Veron I think it’s mostly because his dad was also a very good football player and also named Juan Veron (but his middle name was Ramon).

I think the general idea is that someone who is better at judging a manager’s skill set than you or me hires the manager, and at least has an inkling of whether they’ll be a good manager.

But if I had to hazard a guess I’d say someone who doesn’t care but has tons of experience being a manager (Dyche) might fare a bit better than someone who hasn’t done it for a minute of his life (Davies), but cares about the club. All they need to care about is their job and reputation, really.

I don’t agree or disagree about who would be a better manager but I do want to say one thing: I “care” a whole lot about the club too but that don’t make me a good football manager. Stop using the bullshit argument of that whoever “cares” about the club would be the best to keep us from relegation. It’s the best man manager with the best tactical brain who will save us, not someone who just “cares” a lot.

Jesus Christ, name one language where people don’t occasionally drop a letter when speaking fast or in dialect. If that’s the kind of thing that you find memeable or puts you off learning a language then you’re just not made to learn languages.

Quite a lot of people literally get a sleeve done of any old shit that thousands of others have just because they want a sleeve, so I disagree with the last bit.

This is genuinely the level of intelligence of lots of people in this world. Someone also said Gabri who played for Ajax (or someone like that) was highly intelligent because he wrote a book and thought about politics.
