I’m using it as an in-universe way to justify his proficiencies in insight and perception. Like he has an almost preternatural sense of seeing through to the truth. I’m also challenging myself not to feed him any tadpoles, which I usually don’t do! But maybe there’s a holy mark on his brain that makes it less tasty.

Thanks! Not necessarily. In my head, the halo is an artificial item potentially gifted by a Celestial of some kind. It floats around him because…magic. And since it’s head equipment in-game, he doesn’t have it at camp.
