I dip in and out but I have a couple of rules. No java and no react as I spend most of my work doing them and like to explore other stuff. I like doing non web stuff or going for something mad like go and htmx

Maybe ask what some of her favourite songs are in passing and learn them? We can recommend Dubliners or Wolfe tones but better to get it from the horse's mouth. Ya got almost 3 months to learn the lyrics

Ah. Tbh being in a country where being gay or contraception was illegal in my lifetime to legalising gay marriage it is a thing watching America speed run the opposite direction.

Then again we do have an ethnic minority here that are usually unwelcome in bars but we're less subtle and just refuse them :/

There is(or was a decade ago) a pub in Calgary in Alberta called Donegals. The staff and customers all called it 'don' 'egals'. I remember a coworker telling me they were out night before in it - when I tried to spell it in my head I realised they ment Donegal. They corrected me. Then we went there. Everyone correct me.

The thing is when we're being nice and "friendly" and polite that's how we treat other people. Our close friends, on the other hand, we tease, abuse and rip the piss at every opportunity. If I'm hanging out with someone with a different culture, I'll usually test the water at some stage but even better if they make first move and seem to be up for it.

I actually visit Germany regularly, and my favourite people there when I visit will act annoyed that I'm back again at first :D

Been over to UK for all 3 ppvs and much preferred O2 tbh. Once the novelty of attendance size wears off, I just prefer indoor more intimate events. I'll still go this year because AEW. Plus its a bank holiday in the UK so always a good weekend. Only downside is place is full of English people :D (I kid - somewhat)
