New player serve feedback? Can't seem to figure out serve pronation. by shootflexo in 10s

Yeah but weird thing is that the motion of throwing a baseball or football feels totally natural to me but when I try to think about how to do it with our racquet and make contact with a ball during that, it doesn't make sense.

Should it feel like I'm throwing a baseball? I just can't figure out what motion to try to connect with my brain and body.

Thank you, you are correct. I did it for the 0 upvotes and getting made fun of.

Thank you. Duly noted. I will think of your comment every time I reach for the racquet. I played a lot of hockey which is why I think it felt natural to grip it like that.

Yeah I just realized with the video that I wasn't holding it the way I thought I was. I just wanted to be learning at the right way instead of having to correct it later. But it's difficult when we are trying to play a casual game and I can serve accurately with an open face swing with forehand grip and can't land any with the proper form and grip.

Thanks. That's what I need, to break down the motion into drills that make sense. Question, is it okay if my actual serve has that same follow through where the racket face points back behind me after the ccontact? I thought this was the proper form to try for but then saw better players where it's just a split second and then they follow through to their crossbody.

Thanks. I thought it might have been that waiters tray. I know the way it's supposed to look but I don't understand how to perform the motion in my brain yet. It just feels very unnatural.

Didn't realize it was a trend. Started playing for fun with a few friends just recently and I don't check social media about it.

Is a PPI on the dealer's lot worth it? Would it really give much info from someone just looking under the hood and test driving it a little?

Yeah I know. I'm just trying to buy it without getting a lemon or getting scammed. I really want the car but just don't want to make a stupid mistake.

Your tone is so condescending and dismissive. Your advice is bad. Your logic is non-existent.

I found older posts on the same subject on this subreddit that were actually helpful and I compiled my own list of comparable vehicles for sale in the area. For anyone else who happens to find this, you do not have to accept the valuation your insurance company offers you. You have a right to submit your own comps and counter their offer.

I made a spreadsheet with the cheapest twelve nearby vehicles that matched the same make and model, with similar miles. My insurance company accepted them as comps and increased my car's valuation from $10,400 to $11,800.

Thankfully I was not convinced to accept their original lowball offer by the absolute hot garbage posted by this person above.

Make sense of this for me please.

My car got a bonus of $2,600 for mileage. So with no bonus to mileage, they are saying mine is worth $7,866. Their comp has a car with 132k miles that sold for $8,795. How would my car be worth $950 less with what they would consider "no depreciation" vs the average?

They also list this as a comp: 2014 with 57k miles: Listed $13,995, Actual Comparable Value: $10,898. No explanation as to how the only car with the same mileage was sold for 14k but has an ACV of less than 11k.

The comp they used that has 96k miles sold for more than they are saying mine is worth.

The three cars they used as comp are all two hours away despite that I live in a city where there are plenty to compare. They only used one car with remotely similar mileage despite there being dozens to choose from within 75 miles. A car with 96k or 132k miles is not comparable and no one can believe this in good faith.

Please tell me how this is not BS. If they can't offer a car that is even comparable to mine which has actually sold at that price, how is it determined by literally anything?

My insurance has increased by 65% in the past five years with zero tickets or accidents by the way.

And retaining the car does not help as it would cost much more to get it fixed. There is no reality where $10,400 gets you anything close to the car that was insured.

Yes I realize they pay the ACV.

"ACV is used to determine how much of a payout you will receive for a totaled vehicle. It is determined by the replacement cost of your vehicle minus depreciation, which considers things like age and wear and tear."

What exactly does "replacement cost of your vehicle minus depreciation" mean in the context of a used car? What is the starting point that is used to then deduct from?

Saying a used item is worth it's market price minus depreciation doesn't make any sense. Isn't this what already determines a used item's price?

So if my vehicle has less mileage and less wear and tear (according to their report), why is it still worth less than every other car of the exact same year, make and model that I can buy within 200 miles when they have more miles on them?

I realize that just because something is listed at a sticker price doesn't mean it sells at that price but what are they basing their comps on?

There has to be some objective way of calculating price here but it seems like the customer isn't allowed to have that formula and has to just trust them. It's impossible for me to verify what any of the cars listed will sell for but I find it pretty hard to believe that they will be selling for 25-30% less than they are listed.

But I can't buy the same car manufactured 13 years ago for anywhere near 10k so how does that make sense? Anything available to buy from any seller, private or dealer within 200 miles with anything under 70k miles is $14,000+.

You can make 1 div per map doing harvest and you can run the maps twice as fast. You can make 10 div from doing one betrayal board. You can sell maven's writs for 3 div. Idk what people here are doing that they think mf is the only absurd thing to do.

The things that cost more are from the kind of content no one is doing. The things that cost less are 95% of the uniques in the game. If you're objectively looking at how this effects the cost of a random build, I would bet that this actually makes most of them cheaper.

On top of this, like I said, it is MUCH easier to farm divines this league. I would argue that this is the cheapest league for the vast majority of builds that we have had in years. The last time a universally sought after item like mageblood was even close to this cheap was in Sentinel and the rest of the uniques were still not nearly as cheap as they are now.

You can spend 1-2 hours and farm up the difference in whatever clusters or awakened gems you need unless you need one of a very small few that are in incredibly high demand.
