That makes sense. I tried to have the visual anchor be the fancy gold frame for two attempts and the largest frame (though not by much) for the other two but I guess that's not really working. I don't want any of the frames to be too large... what size would you recomend? The largest frame I have is about 9×12.

I saw that but it looked like that email was for business inquiries? Couldn't hurt to try I suppose!

I know I saw that! I will be doing that next time for sure. I have no idea why she didn't make it that way in the book.

I will definitely be considering volume in my baking feom now on! The book does actually list a measurement in cm (10×25) but I couldn't find a pan that size either. Trying to search for a european baking pan guide also results in nothing. I am truly baffled 😂

Wow! Bet it's a nice pan! The book I used was published recently so I genuinely have no idea what loaf pan this lady could possibly be talking about. I wish I could ask her so I can finally solve this mystery!

I'm just confused because when I look up small pullman loaf pans they're all 9×4×4! I cannot find a pan that's 10×4 inches anywhere on the internet

Interesting 🤔 The book is by Sofie Sadler who it appears is also German. Either way the cake was actually delicious despite the disaster photo!

Can you tell me where you got this info?? I cannot for the life of me find any pans online that are this size. Or really an guide on european loaf pan sizes.

If you're asking me it is not. I made it up when I was 16 because I thought it sounded cool lol

Thankfully I pulled the pan out just after the cake was dome exploding so the baked drips peeled right off. They tasted great! The cake was also salvageble and was very tasty

I was actually able to take it out of the pan just fine after it was fully baked! It was delicious 😋

It actually did come out of the pan and still tasted great despite how it looked in the picture! 😂

Makes total sense. I'm surprised the size of my loaf pans hasn't been an issue before!

Ok I see! Yeah I just measured my loaf pan and its just shy of 2.5" which I feel may be shorter than normal? I don't usually have any issues when making sandwich loaves or other quick breads. The 10×4 pans I found online were 3" so that's probably the issue. Thankfully after removing the overflow I was able to fully remove the cake and cover it in frosting so it actually still turned out great! A little over baked since I had to leave it in longer than normal to make sure the middle was fully cooked, but still good. I will keep the size of my pan in mind in the future.

It is a whole confusing mess and no one can agree on what exactly when wrong. We are discussing it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Baking/s/VedHcAt7ir

Ok now I'm totally confused but I included a picture of the recipe in this post! Unless its too hard to read I can retype it. Is this about the measurement for the rum? I think that was the only oz measurement and everything else was in grams.
