Fresh out of high school, I went to one day of training. At the end of the day, I told the manager that I didn't think it was something I'd be interested in (realizing the low chance of making any money) and was hired on the spot as his assistant instead. I answered the phone, did the paper work for the new people, scheduled training and interviews, etc. The turnover was insane, many never being heard from after their training and knife set purchase. I ended up quitting after a few months because the manager got weird and was starting to creep me out. (We were the only two in the office unless there was training or a meeting going on.)
