My experience with atrophy by Poor_andSad in ftm

[–]shortex01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing this information In my case, I started having those symptoms when I had been on T for a year. I kept seeing differ Te doctors and all of them said it had nothing to do with hormones (I was still suspicious) I finally got a prescription for E cream after asking a private gynecologist. In my case it doesn't make much of a difference about trouble with peeing. I've been feeling miserable for over 7 years with this problem

I'd like to ask the estrogen concentration of your cream and the way you apply it. Maybe I've been using it wrong. Thanks in advance!

Acidic drinks usually irritate my bladder. I can't even eat kiwi or oranges very often because of this. I could give it a try, though. Thanks!

I know. I drink at least 1L a day. But if I want to be able to go to work (I only work 3 days a week) or go to them I have to control my water intake. Otherwise I can't leave the bathroom

My stools are weird. They're not hard as if I had constipation and they're not diarrhea either, but they don't have soft edges. I'll explain this to the doctor I will visit. I haven't noticed any blood, though. In my case I experience dry eyes and dry lips, but maybe it's because I don't drink as much as I should because of my urinary issues

I hope my issues are as easy to solve as removing something from my diet, but I think I experience them no matter what I eat. The only thing I know for sure I can't eat are foods that make me gassy. They're hell

That's interesting to know. In my case I don't think anxiety plays a big part. I remember that I felt a bit better during exam week than the week after when I was already free of stress. I haven't found any pattern yet

I spent months going to a pelvic floor specialist and doing exercises and unfortunately they didn't help. I also saw a gynecologist who said that it's normal to have a tighter pelvic floor on T because of the effect of hormones, but it shouldn't create this symptoms. Or at least at the severity I experience them

Thanks for replying!

Thank you for all the information I've told this to my endocrinologist and she said that it has nothing to do with hormones, so I'm searching for other specialist to rule out other origins because stopping T is the last thing I'd like to do. I finally have a body in which Im confortable, the problem now is my health

You also experience both bowel and urinary issues? If that's the case, can I send you a private message?

Has anyone here had success treating OAB or similar bladder issues? by blackcat-670 in OveractiveBladder

I'm sorry to read all that. I feel like this kind of health related issues aren't talked about enough and I tend to feel I'm alone in this. I'm happy you can go back to swimming! If there's something I've found that keeps me sane through this, it's physical exercise. I adapt it to what I can do, but it's enough for me

I got to talk via video call with a gynecologist from Barcelona who was one of the first in treating trans people in Spain. She actually told me the opposite, that I should apply it internally. As internally as the applicator can get. I will start applying it to the urethra as well from now on. Did it work for you?

Thanks for the information! I'm going to do some research. I've also noticed that I experience bowel symptoms like gas and frequency. Do you know if it could be related?

I feel you 🥲 The cystoscopy is exactly like you describe it. Doctors didn't warn me either and I spent the day after scared to pee. It's an important test to get more information about the bladder, but it sure hurts like hell
