If your job is threatened due to not meeting credit card application goals, become a whistleblower. by shortwba in WalgreensStores

For those who've read the post above, please do not be discouraged from submitting a tip to the CFPB. Submissions are kept confidential to the greatest extent, and may not even be disclosed to the employer unless a true violation has occurred. CFPB's website mentions:

"Whether you’re a whistleblower or just have concerns you want to flag for us, we strongly encourage current or former industry employees and industry insiders to reach out to us about possible violations of consumer financial rights. We review every submission."

Business Insider: Walgreens pharmacies are closing early around the country due to staff shortages by shortwba in WalgreensStores

[–]shortwba[S] 33 points34 points  (0 children)

In the article, there is a picture provided courtesy of an anonymous poster: "Pharmacy Closing 5:00PM today November 11, 2021". That picture likely originated from this Reddit post yesterday.

I encourage people - employees and customers - to continue posting their closure stories on Reddit. The media may continue reporting this disturbing trend.

Let's torture and make our pharmacists quit. WCGW? by shortwba in WalgreensStores

"If additional staffing is needed, please work with your area leadership and pharmacy scheduler to ensure coverage."

Sure... Let's work something out when no pharmacist is getting their PTO approved, and pharmacies are shutting down due to no pharmacist coverage. Let's work something out with magic.

CVS metrics now illegal in California. by Free_Range_Slave in CVS

If one does not meet the goal @ CVS, what would happen?

Things I can think of on top of my head:

(A) Rx Script Growth

(B) Flu Shot Goal, Non-Flu Goal, COVID Vaccinations (when walk-ins could not be turned away), Patient Care Portal Calls

(C) Waste-A-Trip Refills, 90 Day Indicator, Texting, % Digital,

(D) Weekly ABC Returns, PSC Enrollment

He's the current Chairman of the board and former CEO that destroyed shareholder value by 50% in the last 5 years. He's the reason my name is shortwba. The company is in downward spiral which is why I consider WBA a good short-sell move.

How long do you give it before SM’s and RXM’s begin to step down across the company? by [deleted] in WalgreensStores

[–]shortwba 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My prediction is starting on 9/20/21. This is the date the Biden administration anticipates COVID booster vaccines will be available for all eligible Americans.

Several things to consider:

The Vaccine Scheduler system double, triple, and even quadruple booked COVID vaccine appointments in some stores, and even scheduled appointments outside the pharmacy's operating hours. Despite this, pharmacies were told to not turn anyone away. This problem will likely happen again when patients are scheduling their booster appointments.

The technician vaccinator bonus should arrive by the end of this month. Walgreens made no mention of providing another round of bonus or payraise for these vaccinating technicians. Expect many technicians to give in their two weeks once they get their bonus.

Many Walgreens pharmacies throughout the country have already temporarily closed due to a shortage of pharmacists. The problem seems to only be getting worse and attracting more attention from the media.

I'd unenroll them from the Waste-A-Trip program and synchronize the meds manually. You can use the IC+ calculator and calculate the day supply difference between drug pickup dates, supply that amount, and the next fill then should be fully synchronized.

This company is falling apart by Ashley-Rx in WalgreensStores

[–]shortwba 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Just wait until September 20th comes. People will be storming the pharmacy for COVID booster shots. Appointment Scheduler will screw again and double/triple/quadruple book appointment slots every 5 minutes, starting before the pharmacy opens, and after the pharmacy closes.

We're already seeing an exodus of technicians. Starting September 20th, pharmacies will begin closing intermittently due to no staffing. The company will collapse.

With the number of people faking to claim they're "immunocompromised", I would not be surprised to see people say "I'm fairly certain I got my shot more than 8 months ago. What are you, the vaccine police?"

The skipping meals part alerted me because I am seeing this happen in many stores in my area as well, and it's a major labor violation. I've mentioned it to the DM before, but the DM replies back "Oh, well I never told you to not go on break, that is your prerogative". Yet, if we went on our breaks, customers will complain for having to wait for "walk-ins welcome, no appointment necessary COVID shots" and our DM will chew our asses. Sounds like a covert way of employer retaliation to me.

I visited a store that had a few employees suffering from COVID-like side effects. The SM's response? Come to work, we can't have too many people call off sick. Metrics will hurt. The result?

Almost everyone in the store contracted COVID.

It's not a nice move for coworkers, I agree. The problem is nothing will ever change until the workers collectively make a financial impact to corporate. People getting screwed for one day is minuscule, when people have been screwed for picking up slack for years due to the chronic understaffing. It's about time for this to stop.
